Bought these as we were late to the game when it came to bikes for our kids. They are past the height and age where bikes bought at Walmart already have training wheels installed, and the ones we did buy didn't have rear bolts long enough to house training wheels.These extenders were a life saver or we thought they were. Traditional training wheels or the ones you see everywhere on Amazon won't work. The training wheels we bought come with a standard bracket that slips over the bolt and sits in the open spot of the frame and keeps the training wheel from pushing backwards when weight is applied to it. with the extenders you can't hook that anti twist on there. You have to buy training wheels that have a longer anti twist that attaches to the actual frame of the bike. Was annoying and greatly delayed us getting the kids up and running.

I bought these extenders and after they came I realized that I also needed stabilizers and had to order those with another set of extenders. This was my fault. Make sure you read the description carefully if you need stabilizers for your kids bike. I kept them for spares.

I needed to put training wheels on a 20" Kent 2 Cool. The axel didn't extend out enough for the thicktwo piece training wheels that I bought. I did have to bend the cross support piece of the training wheels, because the extenders caused them to not reach the bike frame, but otherwise these extenders worked great.

Worked great to install training wheels on grandson’s bicycle.
