The 83x optical zoom is unbelievable
The Nikon Coolpix P900 is much heavier than I expected, and a bit larger due to the large 83x optical zoom. The camera takes incredible photos, but there was much tweaking that had to be done through the menu settings to achieve optimal results. Would have preferred if the lens cap had a string so that I could tether it to the camera instead of dropping it on the ground.

This camera is great, looks and behaves brand new. Wish it had come with a better charger though- I like the ones that plug directly into the wall that the battery cartridge fits into. The charger that came with it plugs into the camera while leaving the battery still in the camera, which means you can't use the camera while charging a battery. But I ordered another charger. Also, it would have been nice if a case would have been included. :)

What a Great camera!
I do lots of birdwatching and wanted a convenient camera with a powerful zoom. This camera actually has a Birdwatching setting-------in addition to getting incredible detail in the feathers, it blurs the background so the bird really stands out. Lots of other cool settings too. I LOVE this camera!

Save 10$ by buying used. 1%. Then pay a lot extra for all the accessories that come with a new camera. This deal is worse than the GameStop used games/devices ripoff!
