Bought these for nursing home residents who share a room and have TV sound battles. They connect easily and the sound is great quality. It also does not require charging which is fabulous.Sound quality:Loud and clear. Connectivity:Simple and does not lose connection.

Have loud fan that blocks tv sound from wall so put this on nightstand and can hear no problem. No cords. Tiny and not ugly. Just a square box which I can deal with. Volume good. Easy to connect. Great value compared to other expensive options.

I plugged the transmitter in, using a couple of different methods, as illustrated in the directions. Nothing. Zip. Not a hint of a whisper. Unplugged, re-boxed, and returned. Too bad, thought it would be helpful. Bought a Zvox bar on sale and although it's a quite a bit more expensive, I CAN HEAR EVERY WORD SPOKEN! Skip this, try Zvox!

I was looking forward to setting this up for my mom who is very hard of hearing. Charged the receiver fully, plugged everything in using RCA connections. Transmitter light was on but there was no connection or sound from the receiver. Went through the pairing process in case the factory pairing wasn’t done but was unable to get the units to pair.Im returning it and asking for another unit so ill give it another tryUPDATE: received the replacement unit and it works fine . Had some difficulty trying to get it to work with the RCA connection but i think that is a problem with my TV and that i have to modify the tv settings to output sound to those connectors. I used the headphone jack instead and it worked perfectly. Loud enough and adequate sound quality for someone who is having hearing difficulties. I updated my rating from 1 to 4 stars

Enough time has now passed for me to be able to say with some confidence that so far this has been a reliable, quality product. Installation and pairing were very straightforward-- at least in my case. The volume/on-off control is a simple rotary knob which relative to my "high tech" car audio, is a blessing. Sound quality and particularly speech clarity are very good and much better than similar units I have used in the past. I have my receiver hardwired to power so I can't comment on battery life. If you're looking for simplicity without complicating doo-dads, I can recommend this.

I live in an assisted living facility and want to be considerate of my neighbors ( next door room). T V service is provided by Direct TV. The reception was wonderful on the speaker when I was connected (professionally) to the TV provider. BUT, you can imagine my consternation when I was told that I could not avail myself of beautiful sound on my new speaker when the Apple TV Amazon Prime programs were on. Evidently, my speaker is NOT COMPATIBLE. I am disappointed that the homework I did on this unit failed to mention this caveat. Tsk Tsk. You'd think that at 92 years old I'd have sense enough to know that I only get half a donut for breakfast. Integrity today is not what it used to be.

I can now watch tv at regular volume level and my father can hear sound as well. If you know, you understand what i just said.
