"Egyptian" was the Halloween theme this year. It was very challenging to find anything at all that was affordable, as well as realistic looking. I didn't want anything cartoony. I had purchased this Sphinx to use as part of the outdoor display table where I had passed out candy. This figure measured 6.5" long by just under 2" wide, and was just under 5" tall at the head. I had made some pyramids out of styrofoam cube/blocks and sprayed them with sand-textured paint and sat this statue next to them. They looked awesome together. The sculpture itself looked very realistic, the coloring was as described. No surprises. The bottom had a nice black velvet liner so that if you sat it anywhere, it wouldn't scratch the surface. Shipping was really quick too. I would highly recommend this item to anyone. The only thing I wished was that a larger 1' version of this statue would have also been available. It would also be very wise if the same distributor could have sculpted large Pyramids and made them available as well. (That would have really saved me some time as I know I would have purchased them as well had they been available.) I could definitely see where this statue would be terrific to use as part of a display for anyone having to do a school presentation on Egypt. I had also purchased a(Dover) Egyptian Stencil book from Amazon. I had used those to stencil Egyptian images on the large candy pot. It really added to the Egyptian look. I have close to 1000 trick-or-treaters each year. I had many positive comments on the display, and this statue.

A very high-quality, pre-painted resin piece. I ordered it to use for wargaming - the picture shows it next to a 28mm figure. I did give it a very light dry-brushing of light sand color as the original paint job is a little bit darker - still a nice color though. The piece has a felt bottom, so safe on table tops. The piece is solid resin, so has a nice weight to it too.

Hi. I felt compelled to write after seeing so many aquarium-related reviews. I feel sorry for your fish. These are NOT designed to be in your aquarium. There is a felt-like bottom. The chemicals alone in that and the adhesive will surely cause your tank to become lethal to your finned friends.The sculpures in this series are decent looking, however and are better served sitting on a shelf. Proportions look a little off though on the Sphinx. Maybe it's just me.

I was surprised how detailed and light weight the sphinx figurine is. I really like it and placed it on my white plant stand as an accent piece amongst my small and medium-sized potted plants - mainly cactus plants. I also have a pyramid as well to add a a bit of Egypt to my decor and they do not disappoint. Love it.
