Always Have Exceded Expectations
I don't generally leave a 5 star review, most products done deserve it and most don't exceed my expectations; especially a lightweight work glove.I have bought 3 pairs of these for summer work in Michigan Oil Patch, Mechainic primarily but many other things too.For the price & compaired to other options in their class they are better and last longer. These outlast more expensive name brands. They work and fit great for watch wearers too, (many gloves don't lend well to fitting at the wrist with watch on).I wear large in all gloves, large fits great. The leather- like material is fantastic. Provides most of the traditional leather benefits at a fraction of weight, thickness, yet provides more comfort & airflow.

Finger savers
I am convinced that these gloves saved me from taking a 1/4" groove out of my index and thumb on my left hand while using a masonry disk on a grinder today. They took a graze from the disk at full tilt when it kicked and ran at my left hand, barely a scuff on the gloves and some sore but intact fingertips. I don't know if any other gloves would have kept me from having my whole day ruined, but these definitely did and I am glad to have had them protecting my fingers at work. They do suffer from the typical durability issues for gloves of this type of construction; where the seams of the leather fingers meeting the fabric backing give out before the leather. I really wish Mechanix would make the fingers entirely out of Durahide, or even the 4x material, instead of a fabric backing so the gloves would last more than a few weeks of work. Even just bringing it 80% of the way around would drastically improve the durability.Even with the expected durability issues while working with masonry, I will continue to buy Durahide or 4x Mechanix gloves because of how much abuse they can handle. They blow other options out of the water, so I always have a fresh pair waiting so I don't have to go a day of hard work without them.

Really like these for what they are.
I've been buying the Impact version of this glove for years now at almost triple the price and I destroy them when I could be using these for those jobs. I love the impacts but for the price I might as well be wearing actual gloves that last 4 years and not 6 months.I now tote 3 gloves: Wells Lamont for heavy work, Mechanix Wear Leather Impact, and these. These are burnable at the price yet durable at any price I can find. Daily wear and tear on one set of gloves while being versatile is impossible. I could TIG in these but not MIG. I can put these on to sweat piping, but not the Wells Lamont and feel comfortable making dime-beads. These are great daily gloves with great wearing leather that are just not expensive.I will wear them out but it's not going to be triple the cost to replace them. I'll get a thumb hole or I'll screw up and rip or burn through the back side but it's not a big issue. These are consumables and expected for this level of dexterity.Cons: Something about the leather I don't understand. I can climb rungs with bare hands or the Well's Lamont and not feel sketchy. These are slippery*. Not horrible but it's not natural grip I would expect. Heck, it could be all the crap embedded in them but doesn't happen to other "cow skin" gloves. Leather is made of cattle right? Is this mouse leather? I'd just rather climb rungs to do work without these gloves...or the Wells, which are fine.4 stars over all for a consumable item. Two a year if you wear gloves a lot.*I tried the fake leather and it is far worse. Do not purchase the fake leather gloves at all. Slippery, can't hold anything, rips easily, and you'll be buying them monthly in a work environment. Leather is not a limited resource and there's no need for fake stuff to save the planet. IMO, it's a cheaper attempt at making gloves and nothing more.

Good fitting gloves.
Comfortable gloves that so far seem to be perfect for my needs.

Comfortably durable.
These are the most comfortable outdoor gloves I have ever used. Puncture resistant to grab and pull thorn covered vines, padded enough to go all day without blisters, and hardy enough to last a year before I finally work holes into them from repeatedly getting them wet and dry.
