best free diving mask made
I have been scuba and free diving for over 40 years. The Aqua Sphere is in a class by itself with no equals. It is incredibly comfortable and molds to your face. It has true 180 degree vision due to its unique curved lens. It is the mask worn by most serious competitive free divers because of its extremely low internal volume. The lens which is made from Plexisol has superior transparency and strength when compared to glass but what really makes this mask stand out is that objects are seen in nearly full size without the 1/3 magnification of typical dive masks with glass lens. Everything has a trade off and yes as some reviewers have pointed out, the lens are prone to scratch and the very light construction of these masks gives them a shorter life losing its seal over time and the lens will pop out if not equalized properly or after a lot of use. My first Aqua Sphere lasted three years and was my primary free diving mask which was promptly replaced with a new Aqua Sphere purchase on Amazon.com . I use DPVs for some of my free diving Sea Doo Explorer X Sea-Doo Sea Scooterand have used this mask down to 100 ft. For deeper dives I switch over to my second free diving mask of choice the ultra low volume Tilos Panoptic Mask. If you are a serious free diver or just like to snorkel in shallow water, do not over look this amazing mask. Read the enclosed instructions on its care and enjoy its attributes.

Didn't hold up
The curved lenses distort your view a bit underwater, but I still think its a better design than flat lenses. Seals nicely, and its comfortable. I use it for free diving and scuba. Great field of view.Update: completely fell apart after 6 months of use, can't get the lenses back in place. Not quality built

Updated (twice!).....after 30 days... Still Amazing
My brother recommended this and after researching it I can see why. Nothing out there is this lite-weight with the visibility. The lens is plastic so care must be taken to protect the surfaces. I have a very non-symmetric large face and it fits just fine. Soooo light weight! Really low volume. Just be careful not to throw it in a gear bag and think it will be fine. It weighs about a third of tempered glass models and the curved glass generates much less turbulence. I plan on using it for a swim mask also.UPDATE 1...I have been diving the mask for about a month (3 days a week). The only negative about it is the slight visual distortions due to the curved surface. Also the mask is not T/G and will not magnify underwater. I kind of miss this since I wear reading glasses and T/G masks magnify enough that I see clearly. So I'm a little torn. I love the light weight and performance, and it makes a good swim mask, but at the end of the day I'd rather have the performance than the magnification, so 4 stars.UPDATE 2... We(me and 2 sons) took them (yes we all have the Sphera's now) through heavy surf today. Unfortunately one of the masks was lost. On moving out through the second set of breakers one son didn't have his mask tight and it was blasted off by the surf. The mask maybe too light for punching through really heavy surf. (This is the kind of surf that makes you realize that your body can be placed in any position the surf wants and you have no input or control over the situation). My fault for not getting him ready for "ass-over" rollers we encountered today. I would definitely strap these down extra tight if you have to fight your way out. Otherwise still very happy all in all. Just be careful they are not blast proof. (Yup, ordered another for him...they raised the price by 7 bucks, what a rip!)

Ultra-Low, Comfortable, Freediving/Spearfishing Mask
I am a PFI certified freediving instructor and prefer this mask to any other I’ve used. Normally, I pay around $40-$50 for one of these masks. Amazon had it discounted to $36, so I snagged one. Really quickly here are the pros and cons of this mask.Pros: ultra-low volume (around 78ml)great field of viewplastic lens allows for a more true to size viewsuper comfortable fitpriceCons: for me, any cons are due to the plastic lenses, because you have to be more careful. The lenses scratch easily. The lenses can pop out easier than masks with glass lenses.

Free Diving!
I have been searching for the perfect mask for free diving, and this is the one! This mask's volume is super low, and for plastic it preforms very well. The plastic, curvature and all, almost entirely reduces refraction allowing for objects to be seen more clearly and in truer colors underwater. For the relatively large silicon skirt around the mask, the field of view is impressive, and while being compact, this mask offers very roomy space for the eyes. I was most impressed by the "plexisol" lenses as they almost entirely prevent fogging, even after getting wet. These lenses act as a near hydrophobic surface, they just don't get wet! Even while breathing intentionally on the lenses, they DO NOT FOG! I don't understand why this anti-fog feature isn't stressed in the features. A remarkable mask, for plastic lenses. Hopefully, with proper care, they last awhile.

Light, low volume.
Its a good mask but the plastic lenses made me feel sea sick due to the distortion. Couldn't use it and sold it to someone else.
