Easy install
The faucet was easy to install. You just put the top side ring on the faucet and set it through the sink hole. Underneath you thread on a gasket and metal washer and secure it with a threaded plate with four tabs to use to tighten it to the sink. Then there is a plastic snap on water connector for either 1/4” or 3/8” plastic tubing. You just push the connector on both the tubing and the faucet stem. Very easy to do. No using a wrech in a tight place under the sink.I like the operation of the faucet with a 1/4 turn to open and a high spout with a good reach. It easily swivels to use it or move it out of the way. What I didn’t like was that the top plate to cover the hole in the countertop was small. Only will cover a 1.38” hole. My hole was 1.375” and it barely covered the hole. I used plumber’s putty under the top plate to try to prevent water seeping under it and dripping into the cabinet.Just got the faucet installed so I can’t comment on long term reliability.

Good faucet
Nice faucet. Instructions for connecting hot and cold are reversed. But that’s not a big deal.

Love the touch technology, great sprayer, excellent water pressure. Go for touch technology.
We're in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Doing it ourselves, so we're dealing with a lot of extended "in the middle." Since there are many options for purchase here, this is the model I purchased: (Delta Faucet 9913T-AR-DST Essa Single Handle Bar/Prep Faucet with Touch2O Technology and MagnaTite Docking, Arctic Stainless $187.94 - keep in mind that the prices do change frequently for things like this. I've seen this model in the $250 range on Amazon as well).I ordered the touch technology arctic stainless faucet to replace the IKEA faucet I originally had bought to go with my IKEA farmhouse sink with apron. I loved the sink, but was ultimately unhappy with the IKEA faucet from a functionality standpoint. The IKEA faucet did not have enough of an angle, so the water essentially went straight down the drain so we had to lean into the sink much further just to wash our hands or do anything. Additionally, the sprayer was not nearly as powerful as I would have liked, despite the fact our water pressure is fine. The Delta faucet is fantastic. My husband found the faucet to be easy to install. We did not use the baseplate (they call it an escutcheon). To me, the baseplate would look out of place on a farmhouse sink with apron. Perhaps there are sinks where it would look right, but not mine. You can leave the faucet in the on position and then touch any spot on the faucet except the retractable part of the nozzle to turn the faucet on/off. At first, we were getting drips after turning the faucet off, but it was because we did not have the faucet pulled into the on position all the way. If it's on all the way, it'll come on full force and there will be no drips when we turn it off. The sprayer is awesome and the hose is really long. It also retracts and locks into place perfectly with the dock locking mechanism.I saw on similar faucets where people thought the "eye" at the base was a sensor like those automatic faucets that some public bathroom sinks have; that's not what this is, obviously. The color on the "sensor" will be blue when the color is cool. It is red when it's hot. It is somewhere in the middle of a red/blue but not exactly blended purple color when it's not 100% cold nor hot. The sensor only lights up while the water is running. Oh, I didn't realize that the batteries would be shipping with the touch technology pack, so that was a pleasant surprise. It's not as tall as the first faucet from IKEA, but that's fine. It actually makes it easier to get to the window because it's only 14.5 inches tall. We've only had it installed for a few weeks, but I can tell you already that as much as I like it, the only visual problem that I have is just how spotty it gets. Unfortunately, it is not spot resistant. The other thing is that if I'm filling a pot of water, I find that I accidentally turn off the water from bumping the pot into the faucet. So the faucet can even be affected by the touch of a pot, not just your hand.I find that I try touching the faucet in the bathroom now, which I find so funny! I do love the ease of just touching the faucet when my hands are covered in something. It is SO convenient. If you are debating if this is worth it, it is. When you consider the price for a new faucet and see that the cost of this one with touch technology is less than some faucets without, you have to go for this!Overall, happy with this purchase. Pleased to have found same Delta faucet here for sale on Amazon for much less than in stores. Excuse the "ugly no backsplash" look going on in my pictures, but again. . .remodel.EDIT: It's been about 5 months and we still have not had to replace the batteries, and the faucet gets a lot of daily use.EDIT: We replaced the batteries Christmas week, so we're looking at a nearly nine-month shelf life. The faucet began to flash when we tapped it on, with the colors flashing from blue to red to blue to red. That was the signal. So with three people in the house and everyone using the faucet on a regular basis, I don't think that people really need the adapter. I think batteries will hold up for you just fine.

Don't buy this unless you do so for every home you have and visit.
Bought one of these 6 yrs ago, installed, sold, moved, and nearly knocked the next faucet off its base as I kept hitting it. Bought a second one, then bought a second home, had to have one there, too. Sold, moved again, and it was FIRST on the list of improvements. Pulled out one of those big fancy ones with the wire coil around it - very expensive - but not touch sensitive. Stayed at a cottage in Yorkshire last month for a week and just about ruined their non-responsive faucet. You REALLY get hooked on this!! Don't get the Motion Sensitive one - motion is too unpredictable. Get the TOUCH one here - and love it. Available with or without battery operation. You have a plug there, use it. Save the battery issue.

Great faucet - wrong instructions/escutcheon is expensive option
I purchased this to replace a Kohler Forte pull-out kitchen faucet, and there is much I prefer about this Delta product over other Kohler faucets I've installed. The water flow in the regular setting is very focused and powerful, which is helpful for cleaning, and the spray setting flow is also somewhat narrow, which helps keep water in the sink instead of spraying over the kitchen. Installation was quick and required a minimal amount of tools, mainly just a Phillips screwdriver and adjustable wrench. Faucet looks great, the swivel function shouldn't ever get stuck (unlike the Kohler) and the smaller bar faucet design is a great fit in a kitchen with an older, smaller sink. The reasons why I deducted two stars are because the wrong instructions were included with the packaging. I wasted a few minutes wondering why the parts I received in no way resembled the parts shown in the instructions, and wondered why there were no instructions for installing the pull-out head counterweight. I had to go online to find and view the proper instructions.Unfortunately, even the correct instructions for the faucet are poorly written and can be very confusing, probably due to the different variants of this product they're supposed to cover. There is no list of parts, and the illustrations don't always match the configurations and/or parts that are included. Fortunately the overall installation process is pretty straightforward so it didn't take too much time to figure things out on my own. It's sad that Delta didn’t make the effort to ensure that the correct instructions are matched to the product, and it’s a concern that other important details may be overlooked. The other reason for a star deduction is that this bar faucet does not include an escutcheon for installation in a three-hole sink, whereas the full-size version (9113, which cost only 12 dollars more when I purchased) does. Instead, the escutcheon must be purchased for an overinflated extra cost—the version pushed/recommended by Delta's product support in the Amazon Q&A section (RP47274) costs more than $100! I found a different compatible Delta escutcheon (RP70714) by looking at the part list online at Delta's website, but even that version cost more than $50. This was for a piece of molded plastic, some foam, and a flimsy metal cover, all of which should cost maybe $10-$15 instead of $50-$100. Unfortunately cheaper third-party knockoffs probably won't work, as the faucet fits into cut out notches that hold it in place and may be missing on the knockoffs.

Good quality and easy installation
The installation instructions are of the dreaded ‘general instructions of models you don't own’ type. Having said that, it was pretty simple to figure out. The item itself is of solid quality. It is a single hole type. It supports covering up 2 of existing three hole types BUT does not include the optional plate. Buy separately as well if you need.

Best one yet!
Faucet is great. Is still functioning longer then all the past ones of a different quality brand. Only problem is the hot and cold are reversed in our opinion. Much safer with cold forward and hot backward. Wouldn’t be an issue if it was simply left unmarked, but they’ve marked it in the reverse. A minor annoyance.

Malfunctioning within 6months
It worked great for the first couple of months and then it has been consuming 6 batteries every 2 weeks. I bought an overpriced $50 AC adapter (Similar ones sold at dollar stores) which came with a very short cord and I had to do electrical work. The temperature indicator is malfunctioning as well, showing red (which means hot water) even when the water is cold. Not happy overall. I would not recommend this product. I will not choose a Delta product again.

I had a plumber install it
Good quality.. all metal.I was going to purchase the identical touch one but the plumber says too many problems with the touch ones. Not just Delta. This is a better choice!
