Love this rod!
The Ugly Stik Tiger Elite Spinning Fishing Rod is an outstanding product and I would give it five stars. The rod is incredibly durable, made with a combination of graphite and fiberglass which makes it both strong and lightweight. The handle and reel seat are made with high-quality materials, which provide a comfortable and secure grip even when fighting bigger fish. The rod is versatile and can be used for a variety of fishing techniques and species. It is rated for medium to heavy power and fast action which makes it perfect for saltwater fishing and freshwater fishing for big fish such as bass, catfish, pike, etc. The sensitivity is also great, you can feel even the lightest of bites and it can handle a large range of line weights.I have used this rod on several fishing trips and I have been impressed with its performance. It has held up well even in rough conditions and has helped me land some big fish. I would highly recommend this rod to any angler looking for a durable, versatile and high-performance fishing rod. It is a great value for the price and it is a top-quality product that will last for years.

Super light, accurate and strong
As a 30 year Guide, I've used only ugly stik rods. I have dozens in various sizes and models. Never once have I used any other rod. The reason is simple... They don't break!Yes, I've seen reviews about tiger rods breaking. You should know what type of rod you're selecting if you purchase this jigging rod. It's soft tip and heavy back bone (100 lb class rod) make it good mainly for vertical jigging. Meaning, It is designed to fight fish "vertically" for the most part. These rods are very fast tipped to pass along superior action to your butterfly, knife or speed jig at any depth. Why people break these tiger stiks - jigging rods are precision instruments.. Specially designed for jigging. If you raise this rod above 90 degrees with a big fish on, the rod will handle it.. What it won't handle is "high sticking" in that way under heavy loads, then allowing it to tweak left or right while over the top of your head or even behind your head. It's simply not made for that. This rod is designed to be fished "in front of you" and not snatched back over your shoulders and back bent. It'll break most graphite rods if the angler high sticks beyond the normal 90 degree angle as this will twist the tip when under a load. This flaw in fishing technique is also known as over the top or reverse bending of the rod. You won't get away with it too many times before it breaks. So, technical stuff out of the way, this is one of the best rods for the money you'll ever jig with. I've still yet to break an ugly stik after 30 years! And that's a fact.. Another easy 5 stars from me.

OMG!!!
Holy crap!!! Talk about a beautiful rod best heavy rod for the money. I've searched everywhere for a heavy rod that's 7ft I had no luck, but then I found this beauty. If your looking for a heavy rod that's not to long to have better control when fighting a fish. This is by far my favorite, just wow I'm speechless I love this rod I can't wait to get out to the water or the pier I'm stoked!!!

Catching
Personally it's their top of rge line however I feel they overstated it's fishing capabilities. I catch several saltwater cats. But actual lighting a big fish at the middle of rhe recommended line strength. I have to see the next time we can get overshoot. The best way is,buy one and take a kid fishingBTW,I HAVE 6'6" MODEL ALSOCAN'T wait to jig red snapper with it ...

Excellent rod for the money
This rod can handle 50lb blue fin tuna easily as it was proven in my 2 charter boats out of San Diego. Furthermore, I could undercast my live baits far away from boats. Thus it gave me better chances to land tuna or yellowtail. I wish I should buy more of this rods rather the other expansive rods like from Shimano or Daiwa

Great Value
Lightweight, sensitive tip and a strong back bone. I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet, but I'm very anxious to get into action on the ocean. I plan to use it for inshore bottom fish and Ling Cod and tossing jigs to Albacore Tuna.

Salmon slayer!
When I first saw this pole I did not believe it would take the abuse. I fish the late sockeye run on the Kenai river and while the fish only run 8-12 lbs they pack a big fight! This ugly stick was light, but worked surprisingly well. I used several reels, varied my line weight, and was constantly adjusting the weights and this beauty responded. Best pole I've used in a long time!
