Download two different softwares to try and read the SIM cards. Neither worked and I judge it’s the reader that doesn’t work. It can read camera memory cards just fine but the sim slot either doesn’t work or the “adapters” for micro and mini SIM cards don’t appropriately fit in order for the sim to be read. Often got stuck inside the reader and had to struggle to remove the SIM. Don’t buy not worth the hours of work trying to get a read out

It reads SIM cards but it took a good long while before it started working. I left it overnight and then it suddenly started reading them properly.

Works but is not very sturdy and will not give years of use.

It is garbage it doesn't work, the smart car reader is the only thing that kinda worked. Don't waste your money, I was going to send it back but the drive to send it off to be returned will cost me more in gas than I payed for it. So in the trash it goes and bad review it gets. Do Not Buy This. It's a waste of money. I bought it now you don't have to.

All the previous reviews are 100% correct. The SIM adapters are poorly made & micro SIM cards won't stay in the adapter, so I think when you put it in the slot it's slipping a little causing it to no be readable. It comes with little stickers for the card adapters and when I put the sticker on 1 side it will hold the SIM in place to be read. DO NOT BUY THIS THOUGH. There is NO SOFTWARE included as stated and the link they give you IS INVALID. It took me awhile, but I finally found the software to download and it's was only a demo until you pay for it. Honestly, WORST buy EVER on Amazon for me. This product should only be bought if you don't plan on EVER using it. It's only good if you plan on BURNING it.

It does what it’s advertised to do. I did have to download free software to use it.

Worked for getting contacts off an ancient SIM card, downloaded the SIM reader software from the included link and worked on a Windows 10 virtual machine (with a Mac host).

I bought the device to read sim cards. It was versatile enough to accept mini, macro, and nano cards with its adapter kit. However, the required software to read the card's contents was not available on their website, as they had advertised. Nor were there any online versions that did not contain malware and my Norton software cautioned me not to accept the download. Bummer. At the end of several hours of fruitless searching the internet, I gave up, unable to read my sim card. Don't waste your time on this lemon; without the software, this is a useless card reader.
