Q: Does the soap come out of the end of the spout or the bottom of the spout

i think the question is worded a little strangely. It seems the soap comes out of an opening at the end of the dispenser, from BELOW, not straight out.

Q: Does this come with the pieces that install under the sink also? That's what I need to replace.

No! Only if your counter width is less that 1.5”. I have a 3/4” granite over 3/4” plywood base and the nut cant reach the threads. You need to order add on part Delta RP31845 it seems for up to 2.5” widths. If you have about 1 3/8 counter width, should work. It’s just an 1/8” too short to reach threads on 1 1/2” width counters.

Q: how tall is this when it is installed?

The faucet is 14" tall. We have been very satisfied with the product.

Q: I want to put liquid hand soap in it. All the dispensers I have had in the past start corroding around the tip of the spout after a couple of months.

i like this dispenser. I bought it several months ago for the kitchen liquid soap dispenser. It works great and there is no drip because the spout is upward.
