My experience has been that most bike thefts are crimes of opportunity. Most thieves go for the easy marks: bikes left unattended with no locks. Generally, when a thief sees a cable and lock (of even small size), he'll look for an easier and quicker target. The cables about a foot shorter than I'd like, but with these cables, you can tie two bikes to a lamp post, fence, or what have you with no problem. The plastic coating is excellent for looks, feel, and scratch protection. The built-in loops for a lock are just about perfect. They weigh next to nothing and easily fit in a bag under the saddle or in a jersey pocket.

These were used for holding up part of my fence that had wind damage. Until I could get the guy to come out an fix it, these had to secure the one area that was failing. It held it firmly in place with no wavering. I get horrible wind in my area and I was worried that these would be too thin but they worked out great.

These are just cables but they’re Quality… and they serve a purpose well constructed and the skinny rope like design makes it easy to put though my scooter wheel my other cable lock where much to big

Nice set of long cables, which can help to deter any passerby to snatch your items.Downside: though if someone was really motivated, they could like use a strong cable cutter to cut through.

I bought these cables specifically to add extra security to stored pelicans on my rooftop basket during a cross country trip. I wound up hitting those Midwest storms back in late April. While not used for the purpose of latching my boxes down, they did handle a little more stress than I had intended them to and did it without incident. Despite the rain and humidity, no rust was noted after two weeks nor did I see any form of bird caging or fraying. They seem thin but performed well.

We will be using this on train travel in Europe so the jury is still out on it’s effectiveness

I have an office at my university right next to a ground-level exit. I have a decent 55in flat screen TV for doing video tutoring on a short table. I looped the cable through the TV mounting stand and around the table it sits on... Yes you can walk off with the TV but the table is coming with you, unless you have a decent cable cutter.The TV is large enough to be carried by one person, but it's hard to see over it... trying not to trip over the attached table would be very difficult.In fact, I'd hold the door open just to see how far they'd get before tripping!The cable is light enough to loop and attach easily, and the length is great for me to combine the TV and table into something really annoying to walk off with. I bought a separate keyed lock to hold everything together. This is too light for a bike or a scooter, but for what I need, it's perfect!
