Does a good job and is fun to watch.
The bowl looks small, but I doubled the vanilla ice cream recipe that came with it and it made 4 pints. It was delicious! Granted, I have my own eggs and a homemade vanilla extract. (Basically good vanilla beans soaked in a good vodka for a year or so.) The flavor was amazing! First time using it and I'm impressed. I like that the paddle and other attachment are dishwasher safe. DO NOT put the bowl in the dishwasher. I actually read directions for once, and since the bowl comes sealed with liquid in it I imagine a dishwasher cycle would really screw it up. Highly recommend this thing for anyone that wants to give ice cream a shot. It was $99 when I bought it. Kind of on the cheaper side of KitchenAid attachments as far as I remember. It fits my regular KitchenAid, I don't have the fancy bowl-lift one.

Here’s the scoop! It’s Cool and Sweat!🍦
A Sweet Game-Changer for Homemade Ice Cream! 🍦The KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment is super easy to use—no salt or ice needed. Just freeze the bowl, attach it, and let your mixer do the rest. The cold liquid inside the bowl keeps everything chilled while it churns. It takes about 20 min but you do nothing…your kitchenAid and bowl combo does all the work. It is actually pretty fast. The ice cream turns out so creamy and delicious! I also grabbed the KitchenAid Ice Cream Recipe Book on Amazon for flavor ideas. The attachment is a bit expensive but totally worth it if you love ice cream. The premix is a little too sweet. Buy the book or go online and get a simple recipe. The bowl also works wonderful for homemade whip cream. You just wash out your bowl when done and dry It. Very easy to clean. Pop It back in the freezer for next time.I find this ice cream a bit healthier because you are in control of what you put in It.Don’t be fooled by the drive anssembly., I thought It did not fit but It fits tight once you put attach to the blender.I would and will purchase again.⸻

Great product
I’ve had a stand alone kitchen aid ice cream maker & I think I like this more. It freezes a little faster but more evenly. There’s time to scoop the ice cream out before it gets rock hard on the inside of the bowl, which yields a more uniform texture. Very easy to clean. Could use a snap on lid for clean freezer storage but I use foil.

Bowl & paddle are great, attachment piece is crap
**UPDATE: I reached out directly to Kitchen Aid and they replaced the broken piece at no charge as a one time courtesy. They also reminded me that ingredients should only be added AFTER the bowl and attachments are in place (which I thought I did). I’m adding back a star to 4. The reason I’m still keeping one off is that it shouldn’t have broken in the first place. I’ve used it again after receiving the new piece and works great! The bowl itself works great to freeze the ice cream. However, the piece that connects the Kitchen Aid mixer to the mixer paddle is crap! I used it twice and broke. Now I either have a useless bowl and paddle or I have to order a replacement piece from Kitchen Aid-SO frustrating!! (And I LOVE my Kitchen Aid mixer and have never had issues with other attachments)

Great ice cream maker attachment for a KitchenAid stand mixer
Another wonderful attachment for the KitchenAid stand mixer. Simple to use and well built. The first batch of ice cream was a charm to make. Very easy to clean.

Ice cream maker
Got this on sale and it’s fantastic! Stick it in the freezer overnight and it’s ready to use! No ice, no salt and doesn’t take very long to make the ice cream at all! Less than a half hour. Ice cream came out well considering it was my first attempt and can’t wait to make some more! Clean up was easy just use warm water, it will freeze if your not careful

Dangerously great
Works great, so much so that it is dangerously easy to make frozen treats. I keep it in my freezer so it is always ready.
