Love it! Better than my Apple Watch!
I've had my Garmin now for a little over a week and I love it! I had an Apple Watch Series 4 that I replaced this with. The Garmin seems to be more accurate on everything. I get notifications for various apps from my phone. The Garmin Connect app is wonderful! There's only a few things of major difference for me, but they aren't that important. The Garmin doesn't have the EKG capability, it also doesn't allow you to respond to texts or emails. Aside from that, it seems to have just about everything my Apple Watch did that mattered for me. I wanted this mostly for activity tracking and sleep tracking. It does sycn with your Apple Health. My biggest compaint is that I have small wrists and after a few hours I start to notice the band, especially if I'm sweating or active. I wish they had a fabric band. I also found the Cronometer App for calories syncs with both and it is a great addition.

Vivosmart 5
Very satisfied with my purchase. Has great battery life. I upgraded from Vivosmart 4 to Vivosmart 5. Will definitely recommend.

Great fit for small wrists
This watch replaced my old Vivosmart HR 4, which no longer held a charge. Its compact size is perfect for my small wrists, a welcome change from larger smartwatches. I agree with other reviewers that the battery life is short when all features are active. To improve this, I've disabled the heart rate monitor, which appears to be a significant drain on the battery. I'm optimistic this will lead to longer use between charges. Overall, I'm pleased to have found a smaller Garmin device that still integrates with Garmin Connect, a feature I highly value.

Don't think it's as accurate as the 4
Had to update from the 4 that was having a hard time keeping a charge after 3 years. If I had known this watch was this bad I would have reordered a 4 again. This watch has me in high stress levels almost constantly, even while sleeping. I used to get body battery recharged to 80-100, now I rarely get above 40. But I used to drain to 5 and now I rarely do that. I did also have a problem with everything recording as intensity minutes but I contacted support and they walked me through how to change the settings to make it a little less sensitive; I still get my minutes with little effort but not as many as before. The other thing I dislike is the removable band. I used to wear the 4 always, even in the shower. Because the watch is easily removed from the band water and yuck get in the housing. I didn't notice at first until it started to stink. Had to remove the watch body and scrub it and the band but it stills smells and now I have to buy new bands. Not happy. The "get up and move" notifications seem to be a general message sent at a particular time of day as opposed to the watch noticing that you are not active (both mine and my husband's other model of Garmin buzz at the same time.) Over all I feel like this is not worth the price, seems like less for more money. Also want to add that I don't care for the button. The 4 has a touch button but this has a raised bar that you have to PUSH, hard.AND, Garmin will not help you with any sort of return or exchange if you buy through Amazon. I've had this watch 5 months, I hate it. I contacted Garmin to see if I could exchange it for something else or get a refund, they said to contact Amazon. I am back to wearing my old Vivo 4 which is more sensitive and accurate, and will wear it until it stops functioning and then look for a different brand.Edit: Garmin did send me a new watch module after a software update bricked it. Still unhappy with the watch, and I had to fight with them as far as getting a replacement. Done with Garmin after this

Right size
Bought for my wife. Her last watch seemed too large for her small wrist. This one seems to be a better fit and the apps do well what she wants.

Not So Good
Not a replacement for FitBit, sadly. I parted ways with G**gle, and was looking for something that worked at least as well. This tracker seems to be more accurate than FB in some of the metrics, not as accurate in others. I don’t have a problem with this one’s ability to measure. The battery life is ABYSMAL. They claim 7 days. I’ve yet to get it further than 24 hours, and that’s with all of the controls disabled that run it down. Energy saving is maximized on my device and still…. I can’t use it the way it’s intended. There is no Bluetooth option to disconnect the device without unpairing it. If you have your phone’s Bluetooth on to use earbuds, then this device will connect and stay connected. To save battery I have to unpair and then reconnect when I need to synch data. Their Connect app is very confusing. There’s no food log within the app to track calories consumed with calories burned. They’ve got a weird formula that allows bonus points for calories burned through activity. To log food you have to connect another app like Lose It or Myfitnesspal. Pretty darn fussy. Not impressed so much but am glad it’s not the other guys and that’s worth it.

Watch is GREAT!!!!
Really like the watch. It’s a bit different from my old one, but I’ll get used to it. Love the color and features.

Doesn’t track floors climbed!
Silly me assuming a later version had all the features of the prior version. My 4 - which I love- was beginning to show its age after 3+ years so I thought I’d stick with the non- Aple brand on upgrading. I’m sure it’s a good fitness tracker. But I don’t understand why it doesn’t include the barometer to track elevation. It is small for a device of this type. But since it’s overall larger than the 4 why not keep the barometer? Also didn’t come in the color I really wanted and of course the charger (not the USB end) configuration changed so needed to order new extra cables… in all I’m just disappointed.
