Lungo Italian is AMAZING! Crema is a little bitter/acidic
The media could not be loaded. Just wanted to give an update after about a month of drinking the Italian Lungo capsules in my pixie…. (I still don’t like the Crema ones straight but they are fine for a cappuccino)The Italian Lungo capsules are consistently delicious. I’ve not had a single defective capsule and I’ve gone through almost 4 boxes (40 capsules).I’m so happy I found these…. My favorite nespresso capsules (besides the amazing forest almond that was limited and discontinued over a year ago) are Vienna Lungo, Buenos Aires Lungo and Paris espresso. But these Lungo Italian capsules are just as delicious and I find myself reaching for them more than any of my nespresso capsules now. I don’t mind spending g more for quality products and have been purchasing nespresso capsules for years. I’ve tried others out of curiosity…. Starbucks, Target, Peet’s, etc…. And I usually go back to the nespresso capsules because they are just better. But these are amazing…. On par with my top pics from nespresso and at 25cents each it’s an unbelievable value.I noticed there were some reviews saying that they aren’t compatible with their nespresso machine….they ARE compatible with ORIGINAL NESPRESSO MACHINES. There are 2 types of Nespresso machines that use 2 very differently shaped capsules. The original machines use the original small capsules like these. If you have the vertuo machine with the big, wide capsules it’s obviously not going to work. I remember ring confused about this when I first bought my pixie years ago too. These work great with my nespresso pixie which is an original machine and I’ve not had a single dud. The general consensus is that the original espresso machines makes a better, fuller, more authentic espresso. I can’t say if that’s true or not because I’ve only ever had original machines. But I do love it.Original review:Decided to try these because the price was amazing and reviews were overall pretty good. I bought Crema espresso and Italian Lungo. I added a video showing them brewed in my original pixie nespresso machine and a quick taste test…The Crema flavor is, in my opinion, acidic and bitter. I don’t like that one straight but it might be good with a little frothed milk. But it’s intensity is 9/10 so if you like that strong taste with a definite acidic flavor profile you may like it. It’s fine for cappuccinos but I usually drink mine straight. The lungo Italian is AMAZING…. I’m so impressed by that one. Super smooth and delicious all in its own. Doesn’t need anything at all.I added a photo of my top 3 nespresso pods and these…. I go back and forth between Vienna and this Italian roast (first 2 on the left) as my favorites and will continue buying and enjoying them both.

I like this, taste is great. took one star off because I had one capsule hang up on insertion. the capsule is plastic not aluminum. great deal for the price - as good as the best Lavazza (what I usually buy).

Reviewers who love these have obviously never had *good* coffee
Okay, I got sucked into trying these because of the great price and the fact the capsule design closely mimics the OEM design, so I hoped they would work well in the Nespresso machine (lots of compatible capsules do not). Sadly, these make a very disappointing cup of coffee, and the capsule foil is too thick, which means it takes about an extra second to pierce the holes--all the while plain hot water is draining into your cup. Normal qwell-made OEM (or Starbucks, LaVazza, or Illy) capsules do not have this issue,a nd all you get it coffee. These make watery coffee. :(I ordered the Nespresso Compatible Lungo Intenso capsules, 100 for about $24, a ridiculous price. Well, turns out you get what you pay for. The flavor is vaguely Italian, weak, bitter, and unpleasant. This is not something I want to drink. Brews with plenty of the infamous Nespresso faux crema (anyone who understands real espresso knows Nespresso machines cannot make real crema, they just add air to coffee to get foam) and smells like basic coffee, but the actual flavor is just not good - weak and very generic, and not helped by the extra water which lands in the cup. End result tastes like watered down normal brewed coffee of the very mediocre variety. I do not understand the reviews which rave about this coffee. Have you all never had good coffee before? Because this definitely isn't. This makes Starbucks look like liquid gold (which it isn't).Very disappointing. Will not buy them again and absolutely cannot recommend this particular flavor (I have not tried their other flavors, and will likely not bother). Value would have been great had I not just thrown them out. I wasted $24. If you are a coffee person who takes your coffee even the slightest bit seriously, keep looking. If on the other hand, you consider instant coffee acceptable, these will make your day.Undrinkable. Not recommended.

Best flavor and the best value!
This is my favorite Nespresso coffee. A great value and the expensive stuff isn't better tasting. This makes me feel good about how much I spend on coffee.

Great Tasting Alternative to Nespresso!
I'm kind of an espresso snob and spent many years stationed in Italy / Sicily where espresso is a way of life! I needed an alternative to the pricey Nespresso brand and these certainly fit the bill. Not only are they cheaper, but they taste much more like an espresso I'd have gotten in Rome, Florence, Milan, or Venice. And that's saying a lot!One thing I really appreciate, outside of the taste, is that there is a great foam / cream on top. That's a huge piece to a really good espresso. These are some of the best espresso pods I've used - to the tune that my family has gone through about 4k of these exact pods since finding them in 2020.When factoring in price, taste, and quantity - these simply cannot be beat!
