Nagasaki Castella Japanese Baked cake Soft Sponge Cake Castilla

Absolutely delicious. It's a very heavy pound type cake, lightly sweet but very rich and filling. Arrived very fresh and perfect from Japan. I highly recommend purchading this. You get quite a bit of cake, I would estimate probably a 1/2 cake.

This product is terrible. I would never buy again. My mother is from Nagasaki, Japan and I was born near Tokyo. What I was expecting in this product was the opposite of what I received. I expected it to be moist and delicious. It was not…. I will never order this product again and recommend that if you are thinking about buying it that you don’t. If I could give it O stars I would.

This is grocery store quality kasutera rather than bakery quality. I’ve actually had better at Costco. This was way too dry and fluffy. Kasutera is like a very light pound cake, a Japanese take on a recipe passed down to them by Portuguese missionaries. It’s the epitome of East Meets West when it’s done right. This just wasn’t worth it.On the plus side, the shipping from Japan was very quick and came with tracking. When you factor the shipping into the price, you’re actually buying these fairly cheap which explains the quality.

I've always wanted to try Japanese Castella cake. This one is light and airy, not oily at all. I'll buy it again, but it's a bit pricey for only 6 pieces.

I was very excited about having Cetto cake again unfortunately I was greatly disappointed as the cake was extremely dry and I had to throw it away.

Unfortunately dry even though within expiration.

I bought this for my husband because he likes Japanese food and Japanese fluffy cake.He told me this honey cake was very soft and not dried too much like other sponge cakes.Thank you for selling me such a lovely cake. This is also a perfect desserts for kids.
