Just like turrón de Alicante
If you like turrón de Alicante, hard almond brittle, you'll love this. It's just like what I remember eating for Christmas as a child, but sugar free. Yes, it's really hard, that's how it's supposed to be. Yes, it has a "paper",that's how it's supposed to be and that "paper" is edible. I bought some for my father too and he loved them.

Not a nougat
I was expecting soft and chewy and this was hard as a rock! I couldn’t even bite it. I threw it on the ground like Christmas rock candy and it shattered. Not what I was looking for!

FANTASTIC
I am diabetic & I miss out on lot of candy. I grew up on this candy before I became diabetic. We use to buy it at the feast in Manhattan, what a wonderful Treat. Then I couldn't eat it anymore. I discovered this on Amazon & tried it. It is GREAT. You can eat this without worrying about sugar. Yes it is hard BUT it is always hard. Of you crack it with a hammer into the size pieces you can handle in your mouth It Does Not Hurt Your Teeth & I have false teeth, it melts & easy to eat. If you're Italian & remember this candy as a kid going to Manhattan Feast then Treat yourself. It's wonderful, a little too much money maybe 12oz would be a great deal. I'm buying more now third time.

hard as a rock
This candy - or at least the piece I received - is tasty but very hard - beyond crunchy. It is not quite can-break-your-teeth hard, but definitely close.

Delicious! Hard and crunchy. Not kind to fillings.
I love this stuff. I have to whack it into bite size pieces using a mallet or the edge of the porch. The flavor isn’t overly sweet in my opinion. It is good for relieving late night hunger. By the time you get it out of your teeth you’ll be asleep. Needs a touch of vanilla.

Ingredients must have changed
I have been enjoying this product for quite some time. This order appeared darker in color. It also upset my stomach and gave me gas which has never happened before. I suspect an ingredient change or a bad batch. For the cost this should not happen.

Worst, most tasteless ever- almost broke a tooth
I didn't even finish this. Threw it away because you can't bite it without risking your teeth. Covered in a rice paper you could eat ( who would want to) that is impossible to remove. Totally disgusting and landed in the trash since there are no returns. I'm a supporter of small businesses but not if they sell inedible junk.
