Amazing quality for the price
Considering the reputation of Nakamichi and the fact these were less than $8 I was dubious about getting authentic parts. After using them the quality seems top-notch in every way with none of the aberrations typical of cheap imitations (poor quality uneven branding/silk screening, burrs, poor machining causing gritty, uneven screw connections and driver slots that aren't deep enough, uneven depth/width, misfitting parts, inconsistent sizing, etc). These look great, work great, fit great; it's a simple part and I think the price is reasonable but some brands are over 2x the cost and I can't see them being 2x the quality and some generic parts are the same cost and I can't see them matching this quality, I only found one about $1 cheaper from some no-name Chinese manufacturer and if these aren't genuine Japanese parts they're outsourced to a higher quality standard that is up to Nakamichi's audiophile quality reputation.

Excellent quality for price
Excellent quality for the price. The two screws are essential for a tight grip. I used on 14 gauge speaker Wire. Anything other than direct solder is only going to squish the wire unevenly. Easy to install.

Better than bare wire if you don't have a Five-way post
If it were safe and convenient to solder behind my Marantz Cinema 30, I would have opted for a more robust banana plug, but these work fairly well for what they are. Honestly, if they were a little longer and had a third screw so you could use two on the bare wire and the third on the sheathing, I'd give them five stars. Really prefer to have some strain relief, so I opted to use only one screw to cinch the bare wire. The housing is quite thin, so it's easy to drop a screw when trying to get the head flush with the inside. Just not much thread, so best to work with lots of light, and if you need them, reader glasses as being able to focus about 6" from your face helps a lot when it comes to backing the screws out flush, not going that extra bit that drops the screw on the floor. Once you work out the exact length to strip your wire, you'll find doing even a multi-speaker setup fast and easy. For me, these work reasonably well.

Easy to use. Great connection.
I bought these because my Yamaha R-N800A, like other Yamaha amps I've used, has one glaring flaw: really crappy speaker wire terminals. They are flimsy-feeling, not very well textured plastic, and they are way too close together. As a result, it's tough to get bare wire really set firmly into them; to the point that after a few weeks the right channel was cutting out because the terminal had come lose and was allowing play in the wire connection.I ended up choosing these banana plugs because of the cool look and a fondness for the Nakamichi name from my youth. They were very easy to set-up and firmly clamp down on the wire with dual set-screws. The plugs seat very firmly into to speaker terminals. (In fact, at first I thought maybe I had somehow bought some strange, unknown size that wouldn't fit. Nope. Tjhey're just that snug.) And, IMO, they did end up looking cool installed. As for performance, these kind of things are... for me... oh so hard to tell. But I do think I noticed a widened sound stage with these in place. Perhaps not. And perhaps that wouldn't be the case with amps that have better speaker terminals than Yamaha's. But I do believe it to be true.I would buy these again without thinking twice.
