Great tool for cutting thick branches
A friend of mine had a similar tool but by Dewalt and I was looking for one but I am in the Craftsman ecosystem. It was great to find out that Craftsman had a similar tool and I purchased this for the purpose of trimming branches and such around the yard. This is a great product and cuts everything. If it is a little thicker, I have to cut the branch multiple times, but that is not a problem. This is a bit heavy with the battery, but when you aren't doing the work, it doesn't cause any fatigue.Only weird thing is the trigger, you have to hold the one trigger and keep it down and then press the other trigger to actuate the clippers.I guess its a safety feature as I would think there is no stopping it once it goes...And I am sure you can lose a finger if you are not careful.Anyway, pricewise, it is great when on sale, but I think it is worth the money as it is easier than trying to force a pair of loppers on a thick branch.

Great quality
It has proven great cutting power at cutting very hard wood to 1 inch. At 1 1/2 inch you will need to activate the cutting action a second time, to make the cut but I'm pleased with its ability and fantasy enough about the quality.

Great Product!
Really great tool! I have bamboo in my yard that I need to keep contained and this tool has saved my life! I used to use manual "loppers" and would tire easily. This product is easy to use and powerful for the bamboo and branches I need to trim. I highly recommend!

Works Great! Seems well built.
I bought this for my wife who prunes a lot, but complains how hard it is getting to do. This Craftsman 20V MAX cordless pruner has solved that problems. She thinks it is great! We took off a branch that was probably about 1 1/8 in diameter. It took a couple of chomps, but it did it.It is heavy enough that she has to use two hands to hold it up after a few cuts, and that is probably a good thing, because then all 10 fingers are accounted for!Safety of course, is not a big feature of a cordless pruner. I'm sure you could take some fingers off quite easily. I told her "every time you press the trigger... know where all your fingers are!"My only two complaints:1. When you're done... I wish the jaws would close. I have "fixed" this by removing the battery when the jaw is closed. It then remains shut.2. I wish it was easier to unseat the battery. Not a big deal... just a desire.3. Got a BIG 3rd complaint... the cutting blade has gotten big nicks in it, and we've only been cutting twigs (up to about 1/2 inch), and rose bushes with it. Makes me question the hardness of the cutting blade. This has not happened with manual cutters... except with years and years of use.
