Good product and value!
Using this to keep a new dog and old cat separated and it is working beautifully. I am not using the adhesive tabs to keep it in place. Our dog is not too pushy and it feels very sturdy in the doorway. The gate is easy to use. It looks good and is doing just what I needed it to do for a reasonable price. Happy with the purchase!

Easy to use!
So very easy to install, I have about zero patience to put something together and this was easy to do! Instructions are actually helpful and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a carpenter to make this gate work! Also love it’s easy to relocate if needed!

Too small for my stairs. However it looks like good quality.

What an awesome purchase!
This is my second gate and let me tell you, it closed like butter. Perfect to keep the dogs out of the kitchen. The best thing is you can use it with any door size.

DO NOT BUY: Extemely difficult to install as parts were deformed upon arrival but I didn't know it.
This was designed to keep the big puppy out of my office, which also is used as a guest room. The instructions were a riot. Parts needed to be removed from one side of an extension and then inserted into the other side. The line "Use the bold side of the bumper to gently extract the extension caps from the gate," was hysterical. The instructions had not explained what a bumper was or what extension caps were, but I looked at the diagram and made correct assumptions, luckily It is important to identify things because if things start to go wrong, you start to think maybe you have the wrong parts. I did not. However, the word "gently" was extremely deceitful. It was impossible to get out one of those extension caps. I had to go to the big tool chest and get several tools in order to pry it out. It was hard plastic and the plastic finally yielded enough to get it out. There was no using of any extension caps for that purpose. To insert it into the other side, I had to find a single edge razor and shave off part of the plastic in order to get it in there. All of this took about 90 minutes as I had to shave and try and shave and try. to insert the extension into the gate and use it as a framework by putting it against the wall, you have to cut off a plastic zip tie. there had been a STOP sign that was quite visible upon taking the pieces out of the cardboard box it came in. However, my eyes aren't so great and I thought the type was telling me NOT to remove the cardboard housing instead of the zip tie, so I took off the zip tie and left on the cardboard housing. (This was not such a horrible error, but it made lining up the gate more difficult when it was in place.) Then, you have to rotate a very large knob until the extensions are tight against the wall and an unmarked red "Secure Tech indicator bar" turns green. I rotated and rotated all four of the gear-like knobs until finally the green indicator bar popped out and turned red. But I still could not open the door. Directions to remove "Stop" sign raise swing stops and open gate. (What are the swing stops?) In the next step, labeled "optional" it shows you what the swing stops are. They are two little barriers to prevent the gate from opening in either direction. If you put one down, the door won't open in that direction. If both are down, it won't open at all. I lifted the swing stops, but then had to press the open latch on top and pull up on it under the top door frame bar. This is not described at all. It did not want to budge. But I jiggled it a long time and opened and closed it about 15 times until I became familiar with how to do it. Someone once told me that advertisers promote exactly what the produce IS NOT, not what it is. The name of this product is "Easy Install walk-through gate." When I have house guests, I will need to leave this gate open because not only do you have to use heroic means to install it, but learning to open and close it once it is installed is practically impossible. It is NOT easy to open or close because you have to push the Open lever/button on top simultaneously with gripping tight and pulling up on the same mechanism underneath the top door. NOT instinctive and not user friendly. If I didn't need it so much right now to keep out the dog without closing the door, I would call the company and ask for my money back. However, I do not want to pack up the darn thing and put it back in the box and then take it to the Post Office or UPS. More precious time out of my life. Plus, I do not want to stand in a line, or expose myself to anyone outside now that Covid19 is in out there. I am trying to stay put at home. All of this was a horrendous inconvenience. I took photos as I installed this to document the situation and in reviewing the photos I realized that the reasons that I could not get that "extension cap" out of the gate was because that part of the gate apparently had been squished or squeezed together at some point during manufacture. The box was NOT damaged when I opened it and I began to install the door immediately upon opening the box. So the rectangular metal "tube" housing the extention cap" had closed up and tightened over the cap and I had had to kind of dig it out with screwdriver tips. It did become slightly deformed, but I pounded it into the other side with a mallet, which scraped off some more of the plastic. Once it was in there, though, the pressure bumper did fit into it so that the door could be installed. If I could give this thing ZERO points, I would. I plan to call the company Monday (today is Good Friday and they are not working) to see what they will do about this. I am too flustered, tired, and angry now even to know what to ask them to do.UPDATE: I clicked on Amazon's link to either return and exchange or return and get a refund. They want the product BACK and want you to describe what was wrong with it, so I said the merchandise was deformed but the box wasn't. (AS I wrote above.) One link takes you to another, and they'll allow me to return it for either a refund or exchange, however, I have to send it back. It IS INSTAlled now and I do have it working, even though I have to squeeze press very hard on the top button while squeezing too hard on the bottom "open clamp" to get the walk-thru door open. It is a big nuisance, but I am not going to waste another two hours removing it from my door and figuring out how to put it back into the box, and retrieving the bubble wrap and all the rest from the trash bags. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND TROUBLE. JUST DO NOT BUY IT TO BEGIN WITH!!!!
