Futuro Stabilizing Back Support, Large/X-Large

I actually had an old Futuro back support brace exactly like this one that I absolutely loved that I use whatever I’m outside in the yard working or needing to pick up anything heavy and carry the same. These braces help protect your back during lifting, etc. I purchased this new one for my wife to use so she would not hurt her back and lifting, etc. I have purchased other brands of back support braces but this one is definitely the one I like the best. I had lumbar back surgery in 2021 and I want to make certain that I don’t re-injure my lower back so I use a back brace whenever I’m doing any type of work around the house. Do not hesitate to buy these as they are very comfortable and should prevent you from injuring yourself from lifting, improperly, etc..

I'm back with my second purchase since I misplaced the one I bought in August; naturally the price I paid had doubled since then. (I suspect my cat; she loves to sleep on it for some obscure reason.)While I still find it very comfortable with just the right amount of light support for my arthritic, old lady back, the back pad and bands seem a bit narrower than the one I bought last summer. Is it my memory or are they cutting corners?Ironically, the heavy duty back brace with a pelvic plate and pulley strings that a medical device company foisted on me at the doctor's made my pain a lot worse. As long as Futuro continues to make this simple brace and doesn't mess with the design too much, I'll continue to purchase from them. This little brace really works for me.

Great for back pain and providing support to the lower back.

I misplaced my futuro back brace and thought i had the s/m as it's rated to like 39" or something. My waist is 30 but this thing feels maybe too perfect for me. Like if it was bigger i wouldn't like this fit. But it's typical in that you pull the center and velcro the main belt together around your belly. Then there are two smaller stretch belts on each side and pull them till they are comfortably tight and they're velcro as well so you just pull and stick. Pretty easy. The flat edge of the belt is the lower side and the higher part is the upper part of the belt. The one thing i liked my futuro was (older one and color white) that it seemed to be more soft and pliable, so i could fit it under more clothes easier. This one (gray color) feels a little more plasticky feeling and a little harder, but overall seems to work about the same. So back to what sets this one apart is they have 2 bars that press both sides of your spine and that seems to give it just enough pressure to let off some pressure on the back and i feel some relief immediately. I think i have some sort of compression disorder. But anyways, i'd order the one size up so next time i'd get the med/large one, just felt a little more comfortable.

I used this stabilizing back support during the days when I hurt my lower back. It provided instant relief from discomfort when I stood and walked.
