no need for “real” expensive hearing aids
bought these as stop gap until I could get “real” hearing aids. I have had amplifiers for years but not strong enough. the main reason i chose was because of the advertised decible increase. happily I do not feel i will ever need anything else other than these as they work great. easy setup and easy to charge.

Great price, Great product!
These hearing aids are priced well, they work fantastic. It takes a little getting used to being able to hear again, when I first put them in even the sound of crinkling paper was something that I never really heard before. I found that pushing the button in the center Reduces all of the background noise and even with a significant hearing loss problem I can hear everything for the first time they do take some time to get used to because when you first put them in everything will seem loud to you. The batteries last a long time , I would give these at least five stars and six if I could. The only thing is adjusting the volume when you have them in your ears is a little dial on the top and until you get used to adjusting the volume when they’re in your ears. It can be a little difficult , I would recommend these to anybody that has significant hearing loss like I do. Even if you have mild Hearing loss, you can turn the volume way down to one or less, and they would work for you as well. The comfort level I guess would depend on whether you’re used to having glasses or earbuds or something else laying just behind your ear.

Great for Dad who can't afford hearing aids.
UPDATE: These hearing amplifiers only lasted a year, and I paid SIXTY DOLLARS for them on Amazon. You can get them for $18 on Temu.Let me first say that these are HEARING AMPLIFIERS. They are not hearing aids. They have some noise cancelation, but it is not the best. Their volume is incredibly good. They amplify everything, and it can be a little disorientating for my father. My fathers hearing was getting so bad that we literally had to shout in his face for him to hear us. He was getting upset, and depressed, that he couldn't hear. The television was always blaringly loud on 50 - 80 volume, and he still couldn't make out normal conversation.Sadly, we are a low income family with Free Healthcare from Affordable Healthcare Act. They do not cover hearing aids, so we would have had to pay over $3000 for a pair of them for my father.Knowing this, I purchased this amplifiers due to how good their reviews were, and I was not disappointed. Now my father can hear us speaking to him in a normal voice, he can talk on the phone, listen to the tv at low volume, and even hear us talking in another room. However, they AMPLIFY EVERYTHING. Every little sound, plates hitting the table, the dog barking, crumpling up paper, et cetera. So they take some getting used to.He takes them out while washing the dishes, or doing loud things like vacuuming or mowing the lawn. But otherwise, he loves and enjoys them, and I would buy them again if they broke or got lost. Their noise cancelation of background sounds could be better. But that's something that has to advance with technology over time.

Pros & Cons
Bought these for my elderly mother. They are good for regular days around the house but do not recommend going anywhere where there could be loud noises or it could cause more pain/damage to the eardrums. The microphones can be really sensitive/temperamental. Be careful when putting them on or taking them off or even trying to adjust them on your ear, even on the lowest volume setting if the microphone picks up even a little interference it will blast a piercing feedback screeching noise that causes horrible headaches.

Value
I have severe hearing loss and these over the ear amplifiers have definitely helped me. I am sure there are more sophisticated brands available but I simply couldn't afford. We'll packaged and good instructions. My biggest challenge was trying to find the right silicone tip for my ears. I ended up using two different sizes to fit my ears tightly so I didn't get all the feedback and squealing. I had to try different volumes and modes for me that suited my likes. I ended up with volume 2 and mode 2 for both ears. They charge easily and so far they seem durable. Seems odd but, you do need to let your brain "remember " sounds that you have forgotten such as a cat purring and water running and wind chimes in the yard. I watch TV and a much lower level and sometimes turn off closed captions because I don't miss many words anymore. I can actually hear noises and voices from another room. Great value at $30 per ear. I was impulsive and purchased another set for backup. My hopes are these amplifiers will last a year if I am careful handling and cleaning. My only small disappointment is that I miss the bass and they have high pitch treble and I can control some by putting in mode 3 or 4. So hopefully my review might help someone else make an informed decision. Reviews are helpful for me when making purchases. Just be patient and try different settings.

EXCELLLLENT for people with severe hearing issues
I have worn amplifiers for decades. Have tried just about every footprint -- over the ear, fine wire, in the ear. My hearing has diminished such that even at full volume, none of them were quite enough. When these were advertised for severe hearing loss, I decided to try them. WOW! Was I surprised!!. These are loud enough even at their lowest volume levels. The MODE button makes all the difference in the world as far as noise reduction. At factory setting, the sound of the fans in my room was disturbing But by adjusting the MODE, I got it down to very acceptable (I have a lot of fans in my rooms, I can't expect silence!!)I cannot say enough good things about these aids. Adjusting them takes time and patience, but I don't mean days or weeks, I mean minutes. These aids are exactly as advertised. If you have pretty significant hearing loss, you will NOT be disappointed. There really is an amplifier out there to get you the volume you need. THESE!!

The donella hearing aids
My hearing aids are great. The clarity is clear no echoes. The battery life is longer than I expected. Different size ear adapters to fit in different ear sizes.
