Great product. Excellent cooling
KLIM - Innovative Cooling Design - Gaming Laptop Cooler - High Performance Fan - USB connection - Cooling pad - Air vacuumFirstly, I am a customer. I paid for this item and this review is independent. My laptop always has over heating issues and I was looking for a product to help.Temperatures often reached 80c plus, with the laptop shutting down if they reached 98c.So when I saw this in the recent lightning deals, I thought I would give it a try.First impressions were great. Immediately after purchase I received a very nice email from the seller, informing me of the shipment of the item and telling me about who they are. A few more sellers could learn from that approach. When the cooler arrive I had the cooler fitted within 2 minutes. You have to choose a silicon sleeve from the ones provided that best fits the outlet vent for your laptops cooling. Important note here as one other reviewer at least has pointed out, if your laptop has no outlet vents, then there is no where to add this and therefore it would be useless to you. Also, you have to plug this item into a usb socket (to power the fans in the cooler) so you will need a spare usb socket or nearby usb power supply (you can either use a spare socket on laptop or you can always buy a usb expansion device if you don't have a spare socket)So, all set up, power the cooler on by holding the power button down for a few seconds (2nd button clockwise looking at cooler from the end that sits closest to laptop). You can choose to display fan speed or air flow temp). I am writing this as my laptop is running the steam client, a usenet download client running at 40mbps and chrome). With those 3 running my laptop temp was 86c. With the cooler plugged in, it is now running at 40c. Wow ! very effective. Running sniper elite 3, the temp raised to 44c then dropped back down to 41c. I couldn't previously run usenet and sniper elite at the same time as the temp would reach 98c and shut my laptop down (I run a gaming laptop with an i7, a GT555M and 8GB ram)Build quality is fine. The cooler is built in China (isn;t most tech these days) and is made of plastic. Metal parts would certainly get too hot, and the plastic build is relatively strong and should survive general knocks. The display for temp/fan speed is clear and easily read, but not too obtrusive. The cooler obviously protrudes from the laptop. It sticks out about 5-6 inches,so you will need space for it.I noted another review where the customer received a defective item. It was good to see the seller has responded and offered to resolve their issue. Not all sellers bother, so well done Klim. No product is ever going to have zero issues. There will always be faulty items, that's the nature of modern tech, but how the seller responds (or even bothers) is important.I conclude that I highly recommend both the product and the seller. This is great value for money and I will happily buy another product from the seller

A little clunky, but does the trick (approx one week of use at time of review).
Pro: cools laptop quickly (I imagine that results will differ, but on my laptop the temp never goes above 45 when using this and never crashes or shuts down from overheating); if I did need to return this item, I feel like it would be very hassle-free as the customer service from KLIM seems great so far; noise isn't too bad, even on highest level (even if it bothers you initially I think you would get used to it, as I did, or else you can easily cover with music etc.); lights don't come on automatically (in reviews I have read of similar products, people complain about having to turn off lights every time you use device); very straightforward to install and use; will keep my busted old laptop running a while longer.Con: heavier than original KLIM Cool (was warned about this in description anyway), so a bit clunky to use, particularly if also using a cooling pad (I use the foam that came in the box to prop it up). Would give 5 stars if only the device had, for example, feet that could be folded out for this purpose.

Does what it says on the tin....
Ok first of all - and I will e-mail the makers this too - I recall KLIM being used a lot in WWII escape books like the Wooden Hors as it was a brand of dried milk sent to POWs and they used the tins to make tool and stuff. Or did I make this up but I want to know whey they picked this name for their company!Back to the product. Ordered yesterday, arrived today, and it's working as I type. Laptops are not my favourite form of PC as they do get hot, and IMHO too hot too, so anything that can cool them down is great. As per their own adverts, this is a fan in a box that sucks the air through the laptop, and tries to do its best. If I compare this laptop to a similar desktop, it's pretty obvious laptops need much more cooling, and this goes some way to doing it.It took 2 minutes to unpack and install; basically it's a USB powered external fan, but the cleverer bit is that it also is quite a big heat sink too, plus there are a range of rubber collars that make a good seal between laptop case and the fan. I started a graphics intensive game as I started typing this, and already the heat sink on the case is hot to touch, possibly too hot to touch. The heated air flowing out is hair drier hot.... I am happier pumping it out of the laptop instead of it frying my internals! I haven't read the instructions yet cos a) I am a man and b) it's pretty simple.I give 5 stars but it could be 6.....- the rubber collars suggest that most exhaust ports on laptops are the standardised sizes nowadays; please check if your laptop is one of the two widths catered for; if I have missed this info on the site here, then my fault.- the device is quite ok without all the sticky pads etc to glue it into its place; my laptop does travel, so I don't want an extra 5 inches stuck on one side. Luckily it sits wonderfully in place on my table with no help other than friction. Again KLIM may have worked this put already, but please make it obvious for potential buyers that the cooler can work very well with no glue pads at all, and have you also thought about velcro etc to make it removable anyway? A permanent attachment isn't what most laptop users want I suggest.- my exhaust port is on the right of the lap top; you might want to check this out as a potential buyer as to where the exhaust is on your laptop. As mine is on the right, the logo is inverted, plus the power socket is now is now facing towards my hand instead of away. The power lead can just about reach a USB on the far side of the laptop round the back but..... at the non USB end it's a stiff coaxial jack about 25mm long before the cable can bend.SUGGESTIONS:1- use the same power jack but put one on each side2 - provide enough info so we can choose to use an external power jack with a transformer3 - replace the coax jack with a USB C port in an ambidextrous position4 - replace the jazzy KLIM led and sculptured top of the device with a coffee cup warner; the things is that hot now I could fry an egg on it...Overall, glad I bought it, a good product, and I am not going to say here by how kuch it reduces my laptops temperatures because the seller shave already done all the honesty that is needed with their own advertising!
