Works well and hassle free operation/connection
Bought this to connect a graphics/drawing tablet this requiring an HDMI connection to my PC which only has 1 HDMI port. Connected the displayport end to a free displayport socket on my PC and the HDMI end to the HDMI port on the drawing tablet. PC recognised the tablet with no problems. A friend of mine with the same issue bought a slightly cheaper adaptor, only to find it wouldn't plug into their displayport socket fully, so couldn't connect. After trying mine and it working with zero problems, I bought one of these for them too.

Doesn't work, stuck in monitor
This cable doesn't work, and now it's stuck in my monitor and I can't get it out.Now the plastic has broken off the cable leaving it dangerously exposed and I still can't remove it from the monitor.

Works but not with a 3way HDMI splitter.
If you're using this directly from your output display port via a HDMI cable to your HDMI input.... it works no problem, however, if you connect it to a 3way HDMI splitter like I did the signal doesn't pass through to the monitor. This is a passive adapter. You will need an active version instead.
