Fantastic multipurpose spelt flour at very good price
Normal flour makes me very sick, so for years I have been using spelt flour. The 16 kg white flour bag is excellent value for money compared with Waitrose prices. Where I live i cannot find spelt flour anywhere else.I mix with spelt wholemeal flour ( from the same company) and add seeds.I have never had any digestives issues with this flour. I also use this flour for cakes, scones, pancakes and they all come out very good and tasty. It lasts long enough . I store the 16kg bag in the cupboard under the stairs and wrap the bag in cling film. Flour last long enough without any issues. Although I bake bread at least once a week. This picture above is my latest bake of mixed white/wholemeal with walnuts and mixed seeds. Very popular!

Fantastic Flour, makes gorgeous bread
I love this flour and it came at a good price and quickly from Amazon when the miller was out of stock. Husband cannot tolerate wheat but, he can tolerate Spelt (apparently, ancient Roman wheat), which is available in supermarkets but all too often in a wholemeal format...too healthy for my man who craves a white slice of bread. And here it is, I make 3 loaves at a time with this fabulous flour, perfect rise, very tasty and then, I hide them because when we have guests they all ask to take a loaf home as it tastes so good. The flour can be used like any other plain flour, sauces, pastry etc and I wouldn't buy anything else.

Good for your gut.
I have IBS so I make my own spelt bread. It's delicious and much easier to digest than bread made using wheat flour. As I use a bread machine, I've experimented and modified my recipe over many years and I've finally found the what I consider the perfect ratio ofwholemeal spelt flour:white spelt flour:mixed seeds:other ingredients.Over the years I have found the quality of Matthews spelt flour to be reliable, tasty and nutritious. In short, I highly recommend their spelt flour and humbly consider it to be the very best that is currently available.
