amazing sound quality
i bought these just for home use as a hobby really and possibly use them to record guitar bass and vocals aswell. the only thing is that the snare mic isn't that great but i shall order a copy of the sm57 from 'pyle' as i have seen very good reviews on it. the overheads are great, tom mice excellent and bass mic is good too and this is just without eq or anything. i bought the alexis io4 interface which only has 4 xlr inserts but i only use the two overheads, bass and snare mics, i tried the tom mice out and they sound excellent too i will most probably get some xor splitters so that i can mic the toms and my second snare.overall a great and cheap product, i have nothing to compare these with as these are my first, also came the next day from ordering

Pyle Pro: A good set for a musicians budget!
Purchased these mics to record for my band. It's a modest setup, as anyone working on an "amateur" musicians budget will understand. These mics are fantastic for the price band they occupy. The only thing that let them down so far:The brackets and adaptors are made of disappointingly poor plastic.I would advise anyone purchasing these sets to get some metal microphone stand adaptors. To adapt between the larger and smaller microphone stand sizes. The supplied ones unfortunately sheer and cross thread all too quickly. On a brighter note the actual bodies of the mics themselves seem sturdy and we'll built.I'm getting a good sound, took a little tweaking and self teaching of EQ knowledge. The bass drum mic also gives a good sound when recording a bass cab (guitar)They are handy for many different instruments. The overhead mics are phantom powered. They do not have batteries, and NEED phantom power from an external source. If your board / interface cannot supply phantom power to just these two mics, you will need a phantom supply.I recommend the 'Art Phantom II', it's working well for me and seems readily available.(Note: 'Phantom II' because it powers two separate channels, make sure not to get the single line one)Basically a sound purchase for anyone not wanting to spend ludicrous amounts on a mic set.Just be prepared to grab some adaptors.ALSO NOTE:To get enough decent XLR leads to connect the entire kit, you will be looking at over £100.Get at least 5 meter leads as trailing down from stands and round the kit is a surprisingly long way!Don't let this put you off, I've not seen any sets that come with their own leads for a reasonable price.Over time I'll be putting up content with the band using these mics.Bear with me as I get used to EQing the entire thing and working out our recording setup. But feel free to take a look:[...]Who knows, you might like us!Matt

Great drum mics for the price!
Considering this whole set costs less than a single branded kick drum mic I'm pretty impressed with the sound!!I do a lot of drum recording and mainly use industry standard microphones, I bought this set on behalf of a church for their stage setup and I must admit I was shocked at the sound they can produce! The only thing that lets them down are the mic clips and drum mounts as they are ridged plastic and no rubberised, be very careful when clamping them on the drum and don't over tighten the clamps. I would recommend buying better drum mic clamps as it still works out really cheap!Overall impressed with the results you can achieve from a very small price!!

Good mics, poor mounts
Good for the money, but the clips and mics fall off, snap and rattle meaning I'll need to purchase new clips

excellent for the price
Bought these not expecting a lot ... boy was I wrong.... Excellent miks.... I have used the kick mic for Bass guiter with great results and the 2 small condenser mics are as good as any you will get.... use these for guitar mic' ing and they do a great job a lot brighter than a Shure sm57.... Always go with Shure but if you on a budget these mics pack a BIG BANG for your buck
