Q: How long is chrome looking section between wood and nib part? If gripping on wood part, does finger grease cause it to discolour over time?

I owned this pen. The metal part is very small and it does two things, firstly it does not open very easily without fingers being stained and secondly opening the wood part becomes a bit difficult as there is not much "to grip". Hope this helps. I loved the pen but because of these reasons ended up not using it much.
