One of the pictures depict this mount holding up a tire. Can this mount actually support weight of a tire?

not sure about a tire, but it definitely will hold up about any phone out there, it does tighten down pretty well and grabs the phone

Hi. The 2023 new car vent mount version us an upgraded spring metal hook design. 1s fast installation, stable and safe. If there is any problem with this car mount after using it for a period of time, lamicall will be responsible for it to the end.

Will the phone mount lose it's grip over time on vertical vents? Is there a warranty if this happens?

I have not had any problems with grip loosening. I don’t know about a warranty. I have found with the phone clipped in that when I hit a bump the phone falls forward. Not out of clip just can’t see screen until adjusted. Otherwise love this product.
