Cheers to your health and clean water !
Beekey is the best home filtration system you can buy that’s portable. I have had thee cancer scares and when I researched what to do for my health the experts recommended water filtration , specifically Berkey. I saved my money and invested for my health and my family’s. It’s just big enough for a family and takes up little space. The assembly for me was tricky that took me awhile but once you do , you don’t have to do much for maintenance. Also , you don’t have to change the filters for years so for the money the price is right . Once I set it up the water tastes great and my kids noticed it too. They drink more water now than before and also I’ve noticed a difference in my health since I changed to filtered . I like the fact that if power went out or we had to evacuate I could take it with us Or when we camp too. Lots of benefits !

Excellent Value for Imperial Berkey Gravity-Fed Water Filter with filters
This filtration system is excellent! The water has absolutely no smell, tastes wonderful, and is easy to refill. We made the mistake once of over-filling the unit and the excess water began to leak out from the connection between the top and bottom units. Just remember to never over-fill the unit. My daughter recommended that we purchase a larger unit than the one she uses. We've been extremely pleased with the design and spout. One note...the units scratch easily. I had to put it on its side to assemble the two stacked units, and these scrape marks appeared on the shiny chrome bodies, which cannot go away since they are actual scratches from our counter. The instructions should state that a towel be placed on any surface before assembling the units.

great water, but tricky to work
I have had this for six months and the water tastes great! I watched a youtube video to set it up by priming the two carbon, two fluoride filters, and installing spigot purchased separately. Everything worked like a charm initially. After a couple of months of use with no issues I took it apart to clean it and followed the same instructions to prime the filters. This time the water is not filtering as fast and the spigot no longer works. The water still tastes good but I'm worried about mineral deposits and water quality since I have to put water in the top more often and it does not completely filter down like it used to. I have over flowed it several times making a big mess since the spigot no longer works. I still recommend this but 'm not thrilled with the amount of time and energy required to maintain it.

My City Water Tastes Great Again
I love my Berkey! I live in an area with horrible city water and once it goes thru the Berkey it tastes amazingly like water. No chlorine or chemical taste at all. Priming the filters was easy but you must, must, must follow directions. Its easy but if you skip the directions you will miss out on small things like not over-screwing the fluoride filters onto the bottom of the black elements to prevent internal damage. The whole unit was easy to assemble and in about fifteen to twenty minutes I was done and filling it. I put it on a water stand designed for water crocks. Worked out great. The Imperial size was perfect for myself and guests when they visited. Filtered and stored plenty of water.Note: You don't really need more than two filters unless you have a reason to increase the throughput, such as frequent use by large numbers or needing to filter a quantity of water faster. If its additional filter life your after my thoughts are, don't use them until needed, just keep your spares dry and put them in as needed.

Resolved weird symptom
I’m pleased so far and have seen results. I have been following a nutritional balancing program for 6 years to rebalance the minerals in my body and release the heavy metals in my system. One of the requirements of the program is to drink clean water. Within the last year my family moved to a mountain, rural area and could no longer order the spring water we used to get. After drinking the tap water for a year through a Brita filter, I started to notice it wasn’t getting rid of the chlorine smell that it was supposed to be filtering out. I also realized I had been suffering from a weird symptom that had been persisting for months: difficultly swallowing. My solution to the problem was to drink more water, but that never helped. I asked my husband who is a water resource engineer to find the water report for the city we live in. For living in a small mountain town in Colorado and being only the second city from the headwaters of the river’s beginning, our water was heavily polluted. We ordered the Big Berkey, which we have wanted to do for some time to provide a filtering system for our back country cabin, but decided to use it at our city house first to see how we liked it. The water tastes great and within days the weird reaction of having a hard time swallowing has disappeared. Once I do my next hair mineral analysis, it will be good to see what heavy metals have cleared from my system. But I can already feel a difference, and having been on a journey to recover and optimize my health for the last decade, I now can tell when something is working and when something is not. I highly recommend this product.

Bad filters and bad customer service from Berkey
Bought a month ago. The black filter were bad. Followed all the instruction and could not get the water to run clear. Water looked slightly milky. Googled it and apparently several people have had this problem. Contact the seller and was told to contact Berkey warrently dept. Contact them told them what all I did to try and prime the filter. She said it sounded like bad filters. She said she would file a claim and send me replacement filter and that I would need to send the other ones back. She asked me to send her proof of purchase. So I took a picture of my Amazon invoice and emailed it to her. Its been 2 wks and crickets. So I called yesterday and was told I should have receieved an email with a return lable. I told her I hadn't gotten anything, including replacment filters. She said she would have it resent and confirmed my email address. Still nothing. So I emailed the address that I sent to invoice photo letting them know I still have not gotten an email or filters from this. Meanwhile I have a worthless $600 Berkey sitting on my counter taking up space.
