I went through so much trying to get my new G9 OLED to work without flickering, I noticed before upgrading from my original G9 there was some very slight flickering once in a blue moon on the screen. Not enough to replace the cable. However when I upgraded to the new OLED panel, the flickering was unbearable. I dropped the refresh rate down to 60hz on the same cable that was running 240hz on my VA panel G9. That was the only thing I could do to make the OLED monitor usable before replacing the old display port cable with this one from Silkland.I spent hours and hours trying to troubleshoot what the cause of flickering was. How come it was no where near as bad on my original G9. I updated the bios, the drivers, the firmware, the monitor etc. I almost did a hard reset on my PC. I knew it had to be either the cable or the PC/card due to the fact that I have an M2 Mac studio that works perfectly fine via USB C to DP on this OLED monitor. I knew the monitor was good.My only hope was to upgrade to a different cable, I tried all of my older ones, they were a no go. So I came across this Silkland brand. I needed 10ft, most will say anything above 6ft is a problem. If that was the case then why sell anything above that length..The cable came in this morning. I immediately swapped the cable and it was an instant improvement. 240hz on my RTX 4090 with the Samsung G9 OLED. Mind you I had 240hz on my oringinal Samsung G9 Odyssey with the older DP cable same length.My only gripe is that this cable is expensive considering I do not see anyhere stating that it is Vesa certified. I get it though, inflation, shipping cost, etc etc. But this was a good investment if it makes it through the next 4 years. I may just purchase another one, we will see how this one holds for a few months.Either way it is a solid cable, tough as nails, and works. I am happy with the purchase.

If you have been shopping for new cables, like upgrading for better signal quality, and that nice braided jacket, or simply bought new computers like me and needed newer technology or better cables, then you probably searched and had 100s of choices pop up to choose from like I did. I didn't buy these because I like the brand, or it looked better than others, it was simply a roll of the dice from my first purchase of USB-C to DP cables for my Mac Mini that were Silkland brand and I just went for the same brand on this cable as well, and bought 2 or these for my PC to KVM switch. The other reason I bought this cable was price ... where this 8K cable was lower in price than the 4K cable of the same brand, guess they are trying to promote these. I bought over 12 cables so it adds up fast.First off, I'm just running 2K plus; 2560x1440, which is the max my glass goes, because I'm a software engineer, and not a video editor or producer. At 2K plus I'm very happy with the video quality, and didn't realize in the past how much I was missing from my previous cables, Cables to Go brand. They feel like quality in my hands, and the manufacturing process produces a high quality product that appears to be very durable and well made.After 2K plus, I really don't know how well this cable works, and won't know till maybe 2025 when I will upgrade to better glass. I'm not a gamer, and don't have any games to test with, just a software engineer that makes apps. But even at 2K plus, videos are brighter, colors are more vibrant, and my glass is better performing (Dell U2722D) with Display Port 1.4. 0
