My mom really enjoys hearing the different birds on the hour, and, it silences itself automatically during the sleeping hours.

This is an attractive-looking and nicely-priced product.Sadly, the bird-call feature is very flawed.The calls are scratchy, electronic "noise". Only a couple of the 12 calls are identifiable with the birds they claim to be.Returned for refund as a defective product.

So far, I have not been able to hear the bird sounds. I did, however, put batteries in before following directions. I will keep trying. When the "hour" comes around, it does click but not sing.I was able to remove the batteries and follow instructions once again. It does work. I can hear the bird sounds, and it works on time. This is a quartz clock, and the second hand moves smoothly. All my other clocks, "click" as they move.I verified the bird sounds with the internet, and they were close to being accurate.

It's a nice looking clock, but don't look for any quality in the sounds. Others have mentioned that problem and it's sad. But, I bought the clock because I liked the look and I just hoped for the best.

A great clock for the bird and nature lover! Great for a sunroom or porch. We enjoy ours on our patio. Each hour a different bird tweets and it sounds very realistic.

We have had two of the Audubon bird clocks for about 12 years now, but one gave out on us, so I ordered this one. It's awful. There is no volume control and it's REALLY loud not to mention the bird sounds all sound the same (pitch wise, anyway) like they've been synthesized rather than actually recorded. Also, there is no photo sensor on it so it just skips certain hours of the day, but it still extremely loud. I took the batteries out of the bird noise maker thingy and put the clock in the barn and order a real Audubon clock. If you don't like someone and have to give them a gift, this is it.
