Protective but can look a little out of place.
As the other review mentioned, these are great for preventing unintended contact with other cars when you are parking or when you have to swerve out of the way for whatever reason. However, they can look a bit goofy or out of place on more economically friendly cars, especially those that are not black. These would go best on a sportier looking car which would probably have similar looking parts already installed elsewhere on the car to maximize aerodynamics. Nevertheless, these stick on pretty good for daily use but I have a feeling that they might come off if you were to hit someone else's car. The good thing about that is this would probably absorb most of the impact instead of scratching your paint and save you money in the long run. Overall, if you are not concerned about looks and just want something to protect your bumpers from getting scratched or dented, then these are a decent option. Otherwise, they're a bit of a novelty item and I would probably just practice better driving habits or get one of those long foam protectors which might stick out less.

good for protection
These are useful for avoiding unintended contact of the bumper with objects such as poles and posts especially while backing up. One thing I was disappointed about is that these are supposed to be glossy black, but it's more like semi-gloss at best. If it was going to be like that, I might have preferred the carbon look option. As far as adhering to the bumper, pre-cleaning is vital and trying to pre-match the curvature to the surface for all 3 positions prior to peeling off the backing. It is a bit tricky to match the left and right sides if you are just eye-balling. It usually works best to use the longest piece on top instead of the other way around. If nothing else, there is usually more space higher above ground so this will give it more of a balanced look.
