What a gas.
Bought this to used on our caravan and home. Due to being able to detect different gases, it’s ideal in the caravan especially when changing propane bottles. It also detects most other gases like, Butane, Methane, Co2 and Natural Gas etc. Easy to use and compact enough to carry and store. For under £20, it’s literally a life saver!

Good value gas detector for BBQs and other portable gas appliances
The media could not be loaded. This case detector comes in a plastic carry case in order to protect it, and comes with a removable rechargeable battery pack and a USB-A to microUSB charger lead, but no charger. Any USB charger will do the job, and we all have loads kicking around. Its slightly disappointing to see microUSB on it, as pretty much everything else uses the more durable, less fiddly USB-C.The display is clear to read, although the instructions could be better at explaining the symbols and letters, although for the most part, turn it on, wait 20s for it to warm up, then go sniffing for leaks, and if it lights up or beeps, there is your leak.To test it, I screwed a gas torch onto a gas bottle, as can be seen from the video (apologies its a bit shaky - hard to hold phone whilst screwing the torch on the bottle), and it detected the usual escape of gas as the torch is screwed down. For me, it gives peace of mind when setting up the BBQ, patio heaters and so on. I can see it being similarly useful to caravanners and motorhome owners for similar reasons.

Handy easy to use Gas detector
This device is very easy to use and will offer peace of mind that gas pipes and fittings are secure and safe. The supplied manual is sufficient to set up the device, including information on setting the alarm thresholds. There is even a chart showing to various levels of gas, and their lower combustibility limits.A few anomalies were noticed however. The instructions mention turning off the backlight to preserve power, but the instruction leaflet doesn't mention how to do this. I've pressed many buttons, but still haven't work out how to do this. Also mentioned in the leaflet is the supplied protective cap for the sensor, but there was no cap supplied and the packaging details don't actually specify that there should be one.A detail not mentioned in the User leaflet is that a long press on the 'unit' key will toggle the device from LEL percentage reading to ppm reading (parts per million). Further examination revealed that the alarm settings need to be set for each mode. The LCD display only has five digits, meaning the maximum ppm that can be entered is 99,999 equivalent to only 10%.I tested this and it does work, but as it's not a published feature the ppm facility has little bearing for this product.Unlike most modern equipment, the charging lead is USB-micro, not USB-C. so it only fits one way.The temperature reading can be a bit confusing too. It tends to creep up over time. It's not reading ambient room temperature, it's measuring the temperature at the sensing head, which will change because it is heated. The manual quotes it as "Environment temperature and Humidity"This is a very good, easy to use, Gas detector. It is especially suited to the non-professional who simply require an audible alarm as an indication.

Safety on hand when you need it.
The media could not be loaded. I am not a gas engineer and this is my first gas sensor. This device is well packaged and presented in a durable box. The kit contains the sensor unit, rechargeable battery, USB A to Micro USB charging cable and clear easy English instructions. It is very easy to use, power up, allow it to self calibrate to ambient air and then place the probe where gas is smelt or the suspected leak. The digital read out will start to give a visual indication whilst the alarm will then give the audible alert. In my video demonstration I used butane lighter fuel but the unit detects other gases too.I am very pleased with this device and it is reassuring to own one for those moments when you think you can smell gas but are not certain, and for use after any completed works. My only negative is that like most products it does not come with a charging plug.Unless over time reliability proves otherwise I'm 5 starring this product.

Works perfectly and rapidly
The media could not be loaded. This is a gas leak detector from Aicevoos. It comes nicely packaged and inside there is a carry case for the device, the device itself, a rechargeable battery and usb to micro USB connector.I tested the detector with a butane lighter and let out some gas and it pretty much instantly showed an increase in LEL and then the alarm went off. I have made a video to show how quickly it warns you.It has many home uses to checking you have no natural gas leaks in the home to making sure your butane tanks in your caravan aren't leaking plus many more.It has a very bright display that turns bright red to warn you or a gas as well as the audible alarm and the flashing red alarm light on the device. It also shows the temperature and the relative humidity. The temperature can show either centigrade or fahrenheit, this can be change easily using the unit button on the device. To turn the device off you need to hold down the on/off button for a few seconds, until off shows and the screen blanks.

Poor battery life
Every time I charge the battery, left the battery fully charged in the box, The next time when I try to use it, the battery life shows zero without using it very poor battery life, That's why I don't recommend it.
