Does Intense Beauty equate with Intense Plumpness?
My cat has been eating the Royal Canin Adult Instinctive canned cat food for several years now, and he loves it. The only food he likes better is the Purina Kitty Chow dry cat food, which I know is not the best food for him, but he does love it, so we give it to him when we brush him. Lately, my daughter, who bathes and grooms our cat, has commented that his coat does not look as healthy as it should. She suggested grizzly oil, which I researched and discovered that most cat owners who had tried it with their cats had found that their cats did not like it. Consequently, I was not going to spend more money on a product kitty would not touch. (We have bought a variety of foods for the kitty that he has disdained--lucky for animal shelters in close proximity!) As I continued to research, I found this Royal Canin Intense Beauty canned cat food. I could not see how it differs from the Adult Instinctive that our cat already eats and loves; however, because the product is designed specifically to enhance cats' coats, I thought I'd give it a try. I figured we had nothing to lose. However, just in case he hated the Intense Beauty, I also ordered a case of his usual Adult Instinctive--didn't want to starve the cat! Well, let me tell you, from the time I opened the first can of Intense Beauty until this morning when kitty ate TWO servings of food (normally he eats about 1/2 serving in the morning), our kitty has not stopped eating! He LOVES this food. He asks for it four or five times each day. He could care less about the dry kitty treats. His desire for them has faded into the distant past. All he wants is Royal Canin Canned Cat Food, Intense Beauty! Now because kitty has only been on this food for about one week, I have no idea whether or not his coat is becoming more luxurious; however, let me tell you, I think we will soon have an intensely fat cat! If Intense Beauty is about being plump, then I think this cat will soon exhibit Intense Beauty! As to the coat, I'll have to update this review after a few months to let you know the food's effect on kitty's coat.

Quality cat food
This is good quality cat food, my cats are picky and I have to give them different ones every now and then.

My cats skin is almost 100% better
My cat had a very scabby neck, head, and face. Horrid bumps. I felt so bad for her. I thought it was a flea allergy. I treated everyone and the house as a precaution and nothing helped this particular cat. It dawned on me that she may have a food allergy. Those are hard to narrow down. But I thought I’d try with this brand for now to see how it went. I paired this with some cheaper dry food for sensitive stomachs and skin and her neck is so much better! It hasn’t been a month yet, but I already see so much improvement. It proved to me in a short time that she needed this food change. She likes it. The cans are small, but it has more in it than you think it would. I’ve tried to feed her one can at a time, and she can’t eat it all. She only eats 1/2 at a time. So even though those cans are tiny, they’re filled pretty full for one cat who has sensitive skin. It looks like great quality food. You can just compare it to other brands and by looking at it you can see it’s different. It’s pricey, but a million times worth it. Way cheaper than me having to take her to the vet to help her skin. It’s awesome… pricey but well worth it.

My cat loves this
This is one of our cats' favorite food. We recently waned our cats off of dry food (still a work in progress for one of them :-)) and this one cat loves the RC Intense Beauty. While the cat in question is not that particular when it comes to food, we had to try all kinds of brands and flavors and textures from the cheap to the expensive till we found this one. Among them Fancy Feast, Friskies, Soulistic, Merrick... Most of them worked for a short while (especially the Soulistic), and then the cat ate less and less till he would walk off the moment he smelled it.Royal Canin's Intense Beauty, however, has been working now for a long time. He actually meows insistently when it is meal time and usually gobbles it all up in no time. Its nutritional composition is OK - it has relatively low fat, and a good amount of protein but is a bit too high in carbs to be ideal. The phosphorus content is also nice and low, which means the magnesium content is low as well. Since this cat has had emergency surgery 7 years ago due to a complete urinary blockage, the latter is especially important to me.We offer this food mashed up a bit and mix it with some warm water, particularly when it comes straight out of the fridge. He likes it and we're off the dry food and the insanely high in fat and carbs prescription urinary diet which had caused him to be overweight despite not even getting treats. Since we switched he has effortlessly lost the 2 pounds the vet recommended and we're now in the process of adjusting the daily amount fed to something that will maintain his new healthy weight.
