Loud enough for living room home theater?

I used my speakers in my bedroom, and I expected them to have louder output then the level delivered. I think it’s questionable to use a pair of these speakers in a living room home theater

I don't know, I don't have grills on mine.

I understand these are $300-$350, from experience, can someone debunk if these are better than the "s2000mkiii (&) s2000 pro?" (both model's are $500)
