The Third Gilmore Girl: A Memoir

This is the perfect Fall read! Many people stream the Gilmore girls during the fall on Netflix. The book is well written, funny, and really gives you a fabulous behind-the-scenes look at not just Lorelei and Rory… But Emily too! Kelly Bishop is brilliant, not just as an actress but as it an author! Five stars for sure!

Just finished The Third Gilmore Girl by the incredible Kelly Bishop. The book was divine and so lovely. Well written, engaging and wonderful, it's filled with details of a life well lived with a devotion to the arts. So good! Now, excuse me as I start to binge the Gilmore Girls again! 🙂

Interesting book - was gripped from first page

I love the TV-show and the character of Emily Gilmore - and I always had the feeling that the actress must have had somewhat the energy of the TV character.No matter the bias, her memoir impressed me more than I could have imagined. I got addicted, I constantly wanted to know how her story developed. Perhaps this is part of how her life was - as a dancer, always jumping on and off different jobs. No less as an actress later on.I am generally passionate about women biographies and this one in particular is interesting as it tells the story of a dancer, and I have no idea how the industry of "arts" feels like. This book gives an insightful impression. It also gives you ideas of the America back in her days, of the importance and depth of childhood and upbringing.An absolute must for any Gilmore Girl fan - yet an interesting reading for everyone, I am convinced.

Ho comprato questo libro che per un mio parere personale è stato venduto per il titolo. Purtroppo però questo libro è una autobiografia ed è focalizzato sulla carriera dell’attrice. Solo da pag. 160 menziona il suo ruolo in una mamma per amica. Perché chiamare il libro la terza Gilmore se poi non si basa sulla serie tv? Titolo usato solo per aumentare le vendite ? Si! Oltretutto non è ben scritto, sembra quasi che lei abbia registrato vocalmente la sua storia e che sia stata trascritta da li. Sono rimasta delusa però l’ho letto e mi ha affascinato leggere la sua storia. Il libro in sé non è male ma il titolo non rappresenta il contenuto
