This thing is great. My cat is always begging to be let onto our screened-in porch and so I finally caved and got him this pet door. I feel like a lot of thought went into making this product worthwhile. It’s nothing extravagant, but it is exactly what I needed and is good quality. I ended up ordering some window locks (since there’s no way to lock the window with the pet door installed) which work perfect, the window can’t be forced open (not easily, at least) and I was able to force the window down harder on the gasket for a better seal. Installation was simpler than expected, but I had to take it out briefly and that was kind of a pain (which isn’t a bad thing, security wise). The magnets that hold the hold the door flap closed are strong, which is good because it attracts the door flap to shut completely even if it settles in a slightly open position. Magnets might be a problem, however, being it takes a small bit of force to get the door open. The cat is loving his little porch access door, but we’re still working on learning how to use it. I’ve just been letting him in and out (in and out… in and out…) getting him used to it, occasionally letting the door close on his back so he gets used to that feeling too. Still a work in progress but he’ll catch on eventually. I definitely recommend this pet door so long as your animal has the capacity to puzzle things out. Felt like I got my moneys worth.

Fit perfectly in my window . This item is used as an entrance to my cat’s Catio. The swinging door opening is very sturdy and my cats are having a difficult time adjusting to this type of opening. Seal:The seal is EXCELLENT. It does not allow hot or cold into the roomLock feature:The opening locks into place well….however…that is difficult for my cats to adjust to.Weatherproof:Definately effective . Allows light in but keeps the weather out. Also the clear see through material allows me to see my cats

I prefer diy-ing anything that i can, but i have zero regrets with this purchase. The fit is snug, installation was super simple, and I have seen no risk of damage to our (newly replaced) windows.Five stars for- heavy duty materials that are manufactured well. I had been concerned about how much sound/weather would be blocked. Even with the flap edge barely brushing, all the other places as sealed so well i hear and feel a big difference when i have the window raised and when i lower the window into place.Installation "tip"- dont have a heart attack if the side pieces are too big "by that much". I was able to remove the end caps and the spring walls slid beautifully into place. I will go file down their sides so i can fit them into place and protect the spring bolt ends.For weather stripping, i chose to incorperate the locks rather than leave large gaps like they showed on the instructions. This way weather and bugs wont wander in.Four stars for- acrylic door is already starting to show scratches after a half hour of use, having to modify the frame slightly, but in a way i will have to make some other n modifications to protect the spring assembly from exposure.

This door is very well made and durable. We actually had to take it apart for the door to swing freely both ways because it shuts behind very quickly and scared the cats. It was not easy to take apart either! Highly recommended. Installation was less than five minutes.

Pros:• It’s super easy to install in the window.• It works good enough for what it’s made for if you’re crafty and don’t mind DIY-ing some stuff.Cons:• The seal around the window has a ton of little nooks and crannies bugs can get in - I used tape to seal around the outside.• This product is pricey for what you’re actually getting.• If you order it new you could be shipped a used one for the price of a new one - I’m mainly disappointed about this. I would recommend just buying used and hoping for the best to save your money.Other than all that it works well enough for what I need it for and I don’t have the time to return it. Hope this helps.

This pet door is exactly what I was looking for! It fits perfectly in my sliding window (mine is 34" wide), and the installation was incredibly easy—no tools or hassle. I had it set up in under 5 minutes.The 4-way locking mechanism is super convenient. I love that I can control when my cat goes in and out, and the magnetic closure works great to keep bugs and drafts out. The aluminum frame is sturdy and well made.

This cat door fits our window perfectly and is heavy duty. We are so impressed with the quality and fit of this unit. Our cat loves the freedom to go in and out onto the lanai. Measure properly before ordering. Once you put the unit in place, release the the metal locking knobs and it pops solidly into place. Can't say enough about this device. Definitely worth the money!
