UV is pretty dull and not the kind that forensics use to detect stuff. Good for locating dust and small white objects in the dark.

Though website description says ot can detect pet urine stains, it doesn't at all. Few other things do brighten up under the light. It also says 5 modes of light but i see only 2- white and violet. The box in which it came looks local. Doesn't feel like an item imported from US. The item came without any AAA batteries. There is something like a battery in the box but i have no idea what it is and why it was provided. I assumed it was a battery (blue thing in the image uploaded), but it didn't help to start the torch. There wasn't any instruction manual too. The box says made in China but label says imported from US. Box looks so cheap. Was excited to see a torch with so many positive reviews that i felt i can get a stain detector at a reasonable price finally but was so disappointed. I have a cat that pers in inappropriate places and i jad been searching for a black light. Looks like my search wouldn't yield any result in coming future and would have to remain clueless as to where are the stains in my house

It was supposed to give ultra violet light. But it is giving blue light

Bought this at the same time as I bought a 2 pack of larger dedicated black lights. The black light on this showed the dye I used in my car coolant and dirt in a motel room just fine. It has only one black light LED so not nearly as bright as a dedicated black light flashlight with 52 LEDs but still works well. The white light is reasonably bright (at least with new batteries) and the front lens slides in and out to widen the beam or create a focused spot. In Spot mode it let me see leaves on a tree 50 feet away so it's reasonably strong. No, it does not compete with my friend's 2000 lumen flash light but is fine for regular use as a flashlight.You switch modes by pressing the button on the end. Each press puts it in a different mode. To get to black light mode you have have to go through 2 white light levels and the rapidly flashing white light. The rapid flashing light is fast so I find it annoying, but it certainly is visible.Casing is aluminum with a rubber button on the end. It has a belt clip built in and came with a strap. Uses 3 AAA batteries in a special holder and the whole thing fits in my hand comfortably with the end sticking out about an inch and a half. Feels solid. The zoom sleeve moves very easily.I would use this for walks in the woods at night, and I may take it sailing as an emergency man overboard light (I will not use it on the boat as it is too bright and would destroy night vision.) It now lives in my car door pocket.

Lo bueno: es practica, cómoda de llevar y el zoom funciona de maravilla.Lo malo: el botón de encendido es un poco insensible como para cambiar la modalidad, pero en general funciona bien, la luz blanca es brillante y con el zoom tienes mínimo unos tres metros de visibilidad media.General: es económica y si requieres funciones muy particulares te puede funcionar bastante bien, para campistas no la recomiendo, pero para uso del hogar en general es buena y 100% recomendada.

Lampe ist stabil, ok und funktioniert. Hat für meinen Zweck komplett ausgereicht.Ich hatte einen Maler, der mir erzählt hat, daß seine Leute viel genauer arbeiten, als die des Wettbewerbers.Meine Decke wurde von seiner Firma mit Raufaser taperziert und weiß gestrichen. Sein Preis war ca. 10% höher als der des Wettbewerbers. Anschließend bin ich mit ihm, abends, als es dunkel war, bei ausgeschaltetem Licht und eingeschalteter Lampe im UV-Modus durch die Wohnung gegangen und hab die Decke angeleuchtet und jede Stelle, wo keine Farbe war, hat grell herausgestrahlt. Es war ihm sehr peinlich, wir haben die Rechnung um 15% gekürzt. Lampe hat also ihren Kaufpreis verdient.Wenn jemand eine Putzfrau hat, kann er in Küche, Bad, Toilette bestens prüfen, ob sie tatsächlich sauber geputzt hat. Geht natürlich auch bei der Ehefrau, das bringt aber nur Ärger.... ;-)

I use this flashlight in a correctional setting (ie, a prison), so I've been able to get a lot of use with this light every day for some time. Overall, it's a great value - if I get bodily fluids or contaminants on this, I won't be out hundreds of dollars.Pros:- Good value- Regular light is bright, but not blinding.- The 4 modes all have good uses.- UV light is useful for finding... um... "stuff" that might otherwise be hidden.- Durable enough to still be working well after months or hard use.- Good battery life.- Adjustable focus is a huge plus.- Recessed button prevents accidental toggling.Cons:- While durable overall, I've noticed the focusing lens is loose and "wobbles" when it's all the way out.- The UV light is not very strong/bright. It has to be VERY dark to get good use out of it (unless you're practically touching what you're looking at).- There is no mode "memory" so you need to cycle through from the default "Regular, Bright" setting every time. I think this is a standard thing on other lights as well, but it's mildly annoying to me.- I had issues with the power button popping into the main housing, requiring me to take it apart and press-fit the switch body back it.Overall, I would not hesitate to but this flashlight again or recommend it to a friend.

Muy buena potencia de luz y sobre todo las pilas ya incluidas. Por el precio está muy bien. Es de metal y dice que es resistente a salpicaduras leves.Si la recomiendo.
