A game changer
Review: The Perfect Robot Vacuum – A Game Changer!I can’t say enough good things about this robot vacuum! It’s an absolute game changer for keeping my home spotless with minimal effort. From the sleek design to the powerful suction, every feature is thoughtfully engineered to deliver the best cleaning experience.First, the navigation is flawless—no random bumping into furniture or getting stuck in corners. It intelligently maps my home, ensuring every inch is covered. The suction power is surprisingly strong, effortlessly picking up dust, pet hair, and even the tiniest crumbs from both carpets and hardwood floors.Battery life is impressive, lasting long enough to clean my entire home on a single charge. Plus, it automatically returns to its charging dock when needed—no intervention required! The app control is another highlight, allowing me to schedule cleanings, customize no-go zones, and even start a cleaning session remotely. One of my favorite things is how quiet it is. Unlike traditional vacuums, it runs smoothly in the background without disrupting daily life. And maintenance is a breeze—the dustbin is easy to empty, and the filters last a long time before needing replacement. If you’re looking for the perfect robot vacuum, this is it. It’s efficient, smart, and makes life so much easier. Highly recommended!

Easy to program 'no go zones' for mop feature so you can vacuum AND mop at the same time.
This is a great little machine. I programmed 'no go zones' for the mop feature by inputting all area rugs and carpeted floors and it works like a charm! It took me a bit to program and map out everything and then you will want to go back and tweak things but it works well. I'm 100% happy with it. I just wish that I had purchased 2 because now our daughter wants one! It's not going to scrub your floors but it's perfect to run through every few days. Stay home the first time you run it through each room so you can see where it might get caught. So far, it's only gotten caught under one couch so we just mapped off another 'no go zone' under the couch. It is MUCH quieter than our daughters and communicates well with us.

UPDATED 2/16/25 - Absolutely awful
Update 2/16/25 -- I've updated this to a four-star review.I did return the RV20 Max Plus, but Tapo's support came through and offered me a discount on the next highest model, the RV30 Max Plus, for the same price I paid for this one. So far, it has worked much better, but I don't think that means the RV20 Max Plus is a bad product -- I think my original unit simply had a defect. The only real difference between the two is the placement of the mapping sensors, but I don't think that alone accounts for the major issues I encountered.I'm only giving four stars because the RV20 Max Plus I received had so many issues and it was frustrating to reach a tier of support from Tapo that was helpful, but I am happy with the support I received. My original review is as follows.---I got a special deal on this from the Amazon app that made it difficult to pass up. It was a significant upgrade from my previous vacuum (at least on paper), a Eufy 25c. I own a lot of Kasa and Tapo products, but this is the only one that's been so bad that I returned it.This vacuum supposedly offers mapping, but it's completely broken. When I start the vacuum, it immediately gets lost and tries to return to the dock, but is unable to find the dock it just left, so it spins in circles and wanders back and forth for several minutes before eventually just turning off. It's clearly defective, but the product's support was completely unhelpful. After a lot of factory resetting and numerous attempts, I finally got it to map my home (at least to some degree), so I thought maybe it would work out, but the next day, it was unable to go anywhere in my home, saying it was "unable to reach the designated area," at which point it would return to its dock. After three days of being unable to use the vacuum without massive problems and frustrations and support not reading my emails and just sending me form letters back, I'm returning it and getting my money back.I'm very disappointed in TP-Link for this device and will strongly reconsider buying anything from them in the future.

Awesome little machine
So, I got this because my other robot vacuum stopped working. I was told it may be a battery issue, but instead of forking out the $20 for a new battery, I chose to pay $200 for an entirely new machine. I’m not very savvy when it comes to electronics, but this came with a quick start instruction sheet that made it very easy. It does an awesome job as long as it doesn’t get full while it’s doing the job that you’ve said it to do. I have a dog and two cats, so the hair can get extreme. I set it to do a room at a time and then send it back to the dock. That seems to work pretty well. It will map out your entire house, get familiar with it, and do an amazing job at cleaning up light messes. I am very happy with this purchase.

It's thicker than my old one, not ultra thin and is always bumping into things.
The app works OK and tells you where the thing is trapped or gotten lost. The Tapo is the thicker one on the left so it's not "ultra thin". It is entertaining as it goes around the house talking to itself and bumping into things. It's like a sad blind dog. Sometimes it just spins around and around and then finally wanders off into some random direction. It only has one side brush. I'm afraid to try the moping aspect. At least it was very cheap.
