Will this mat slip on a hardwood floor?

It usually does not slip on most surfaces with most usages. If the floor is extra sleek, double sided tape can be used to keep it in place.

Is this just one mat or are there several attached together like the pictures?

Its only one mat that is about 6 feet long with all the 5 rainbow colors shown. You can buy more and attach them together.

If I purchase two, can they be attached side by side, instead of end to end? I’d like it wider.

No, they don’t attach except at the ends. We just have ours pushed together and affixed at each corner to the floor with carpet tape.
