Absolutely gorgeous!! I know the reviews say many were broken but I took a chance and I couldn’t be happier! My advice…. Give it a shot. The reviews that say both are made to stand… you can place them either way. You will have books in between them so you won’t notice anything off. I could go on and on…. Definitely worth it in every way!! 🙂❤️😍

Have a few leather bound books that I acquired years ago. Can,t recall that I ever read them.But they , to the casual eye, are impressive.Needed bookends to work with the quality these books represent.Could not have done better!They are ornate,substantial in presence,perfect!!Thank you

So those of you that are complaining that the elephant is not laying down if you look close at the picture you can tell that they just flipped it on it’s side which you can also do if you want. These book ends are a good weight to hold my cookbooks and they are super cute!

Not As Picture--both elephants made to STAND, not one to lie down
Have to admit, I was disappointed in these despite waiting and waiting for them to come back in stock. The picture shows that one of the elephants lays on its side to hold up the books. But in reality, the reseller simply turned that elephant on its side and photographed it. The protective felt tabs are not on the right side to use the bookends as is shown in the photograph. And if you look closely in the photograph, you can see the height difference between the two. I feel tricked, but I'll keep these as I'm an elephant lover.
