Very Comfortable with Great Sound
I needed a pair of cans to spend hours mixing tracks in my home recording studio and these are perfect for me. I need articulate and flat frequency response combined with comfort and light weight and these fit the bill. I tried some other top brands in this price range and found them to be heavier and put too much clamping pressure against my head. These are very light and fit perfectly. They also don't over exaggerate bass response like a lot of other consumer headphones.

Are good but feels cheap
These are pretty good sounding but the build qaulity just felt so cheap to me, I was pretty surprised with how cheap they actually felt. So removing once star for that.

Best headphones money can buy.
I have been blessed to own or hear pretty much every good set of headphones ever made in the under or around 1000 dollar category. As well as the best balanced dacs and balanced amps made over the last 15 years to now. from lcd-2 to hd650, 600, 660s2, ath-900, beyer 770s, 880s, meze 99's , audio quest nighthawks, focal, you name it i probably have it or have at least had listening sessions with them. That being said these are my favorite cans I own by far now. Only had them for a few weeks but its long enough to see how light, comfortable and absolutely killer sounding these are. best balance of everything in a set of cans I have ever seen. they sound big, super accurate, insane micro detail, bass extension is awesome, imaging is the best ever. If you get the best attributes from every brands top tier headphones and combined them this is what you would get. Best of all they are made in japan and built extremely well despite them being the lightest headphones ever. I have nothing bad to say about these, they scale wonderfully with better gear and with some good balanced analog EQ they can be bass canons for open headphones.

Endgame For Sure
Coming from the X2HR I was expecting these to disappoint and not live up to the hype. However, the second I started listening to these through the Fiio K11 R2R DAC that I bought to power them (you need a DAC that can support the ohm requirement) the difference was so clear. I went back to the X2HR's using the same DAC, to see if it was that, it was not, it was the headphones. They truly sound incredible and change how you listen to sound. The X2HR's started sounding muddy and uncomfortable in comparison to these. Genuinely I almost don't want to recommend these because they'll ruin any other pair of headphones. I'm picking out details in sound that I never thought I would, like hands moving on strings and breaths in between verses. But it does all this without an uncomfortable crispness, instead everything flows and transitions smoothly. Every sound is distinct and wide because of the sound stage, but you don't lose anything as a trade. I will also the bass is better than I thought it would be.As far as comfort, I have medium to large ears, and am not that bothered that they don't perfectly fit my ears because the clamp pressure is so light that they really barely feel like they're on my head. One thing is the cable is aesthetically kinda gross so I replaced it with something prettier. Anyways 11/10 these are crazy good, I'd pay twice as much for these. My wife tried them and almost came to tears because of how crazy good it made her music sound.

Really good open clear detailed soundstage
These headphones are super light which is good for long listening sessions. They do feel a bit fragile, so it's worth mentioning to not bang them around as they're also relatively pricey. Sound quality is excellent, but these are not for bass heads. Overall, you get really good detail, staging and separation. Bass is tight, but sub-bass can be a little loose if boosted too much. Depending on the source, the sound signature may be slightly bright with some tracks. An EQ is handy if you want to tone down the highs. These are 470Ω, so you'd need a fairly powerful headphone amp to get maximum volume. All of the wear items are replaceable. Made in Japan.

Worth the money…
I was suspicious if paying more money for better headphones was going to improve my listening experience, given the age of my ears. They are enough of an improvement over $100 closed back headphones that it proved a wise purchase. Comfortable fit, relatively lightweight, surprisingly high definition and the open back design made music sound more spacious somehow. Value for money.

Great headphones
Good side grade to the r70x. Doesn't get caught in my hair like the original, and still just as comfortable. Just wish the magnets were a tad stronger.
