Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Classic Rechargeable Electric Power Toothbrush, Black, HX9351/57

I've had some periodontal issues, the Sonicare Diamond Clean was recommended by the hygienist. I've been using one for almost four years now, and combined with regular flossing I've had great checkups and no issues since I started using it, bone depth measurements are stable. It seems to do a great job, teeth really feel clean after using it.This was purchased as a replacement, the original is still working but there is a lot of play (wobble) in the head bearing. I thought the battery or motor would fail at some point but they're both still working well, this replacement was purchased because it was on sale. I suspect I'll need it before too long, but it could be that the original unit will work for another year.The original unit came with a travel case that had a built-in charger powered from a USB cable with AC adapter as well as the counter top charger. The replacement just purchased and being reviewed here is the same product in every respect except that the travel case does NOT come with a built-in charger. I'm glad I still have the original travel case, it is very convenient. Without it you may need to travel with the counter top charger which is a glass that sits on a heavy metal base (charger) with a non-detachable AC line cord.

My husband and I both have these toothbrushes and we love them. I have had mine for over 5 years and it is still going strong. This one was purchased for my husband and he loves it as well. We carry them with us to travel often and it is very easy with the little case that comes with it.

I really love my toothbrush. I've noticed that my teeth are whiter and brighter! Not only that, it stopped working 6 moths in (which is a bummer) but I was really pleasantly surprised at the wonderful customer service. My toothbrush was quickly replaced and now I am enjoying this product again. I would purchase this again in a heartbeat :)

I had two other models, and I loved them. I was born in Brazil and I was never able to see a dentist until I moved to the US--I was 16 when that happened, but it was not until I was 22 that I could afford a dentist in NYC. At the doctor's office, I was diagnosed with Gingivitis. My dentist recommended the Philips toothbrush (after a long series of periodontal cleaning). The tooth helped keep me from getting gingivitis for years. Obviously, there's a cleaning protocol you must adhere to if you have the same issue--consult your dentist for a full list of things you can do to keep you from getting it.I decided to buy this one as an upgrade for the ones I had. unfortunately, the toothbrush never connected to the app. The timed brushing for each mouth section shuts off after three cycles (you have more than three sections in your mouth!) I tried every troubleshooting in the book. I tried contacting Philips for the warranty, and apparently, the model number is not recognized. It took me so long to write this review because I held to the hope that it would work, or I would get a replacement. Tough luck. Stick with the previous models. They work wonderfully and in my case, it helped keep me from having gingivitis again. The additional settings in the diamond clean are not worth the money--even if the toothbrush worked properly.

This is the best toothbrush I've every used.. it's amazing how clean my mouth feels.. I was having trouble with plaque and bleeding gums and within in a week no more pink spit. I've bought one for my wife now as well.. his and hers .. LOL.. you wont regret this brush.. It is a bit expensive and you would think they would start dropping a bit in price over the years..

This is a great toothbrush, but it unfortunately stops working after a year. The bar under the brush-head that's attached to the body came loose a couple of months ago, and this was accompanied by a loud vibrating sound (with little movement of the brush itself) when I turned it on. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to screw it back in, so it'll have to go. It was great while it lasted though!

Best purchase as a Black Friday deal$. Bought two (2019) but still pricey! Very easy to use. Teeth feel cleaner than dentist-clean. (No offense intended.) The supplied glass rests on top pass thru charger. The toothbrush rests inside the glass. Svelt appearance & feel. As it's a new purchase; battery life after multiple uses (& not left constantly in the charger base) hasn't been determined.Con: Supplied travel case doesn't have space for charger base. Means that you must pack the charger base seperately for long trips. (There should be a travel charger included.)
