Does the job just fine.
Very handy remote for my Z50. Works really well. Overpriced for what it is (but, that’s probably true of most Nikon equipment 🤨).

All ok

Overpriced but incredibly useful
You are paying for the brand name - it was a present - but incredibly useful for astrophotography and any other photography when using a tripod. I much prefer using it to setting the self timer to take a photograph. Perhaps it switches itself off a little quickly if you are recomposing shots

Camera remote
Bought this as an alternative to a wired remote. Connects easily to the camera and gives all the functions I need. I would recommend to any Nikon User.

Check camera compatibility - and no English instructions
I did check camera compatibility. On the Nikon website it suggests that this gadget is compatible with the mirrorless Z7 range of cameras. It isn’t. And in an on line forum complaining about this, Nikon replied to say ‘sorry about that - we put incorrect information on the website’. Great. Furthermore, as others have already complained, the instructions provided by Nikon are in every language imaginable apart from English. I suppose that doesn’t matter as the gadget won’t work with my camera anyway. But this is a poor do. Come on Nikon, you can do better than this.

No English Instructions. Works OK with Z50
This came from Amazon, not a trader on Amazon. Amazon is a official Nikon dealer, therefore I am baffled as to why the remote turned up without instructions in English (German, French, Italian and Dutch only). You can download a pdf of the instructions form the Nikon UK support site, but they are difficult to read and difficult to print sensibly. There are videos on Utube, I gather. The Z50 Users Manual doesn't mention the remote. If you haven't already, I suggest you download the Z50 Reference Manual from the Nikon support site. If look in the camera Setup Menu (Spanner icon) you will find an option for Wireless Remote (ML-L7) Options (covered on page 319 of the Reference Manual). You must turn off Airplane mode (also in the setup menu) if you have it on before you can select this. Press and hold the power button on the remote for 3 seconds as instructed and pairing takes place ok. The rest is self explanatory.Very expensive for what it is and the documentation is not great, but it seems to work well enough.
