Love me some Pimpernel
I must have 5 different sets of these cork-backed placemats. They are thick, sturdy, a breeze to clean and beautiful designs. The emerald green is so classy! I took a star off because one of the 8 mats was badly marred (not a packaging issue) however Amazon was quick to send a replacement. Hoping to receive it before Christmas. I dont miss cloth placemats and only use Pimpernel. The best!

These placemats are absolutely beautiful. Well-made ,sturdy ,a perfect size and heavy duty. The packaging and the shipping package was excellent and helped them to arrive safely.

Haven't worn well at all.
I should have written this review two years ago. I have a number of sets of Pimpernel placemats that I have bought decades ago for myself and for gifts.I hadn't bought any for a while so I purchased these back in 2022 because I wanted to add to my "inventory". I have some that are decades old and have not shown any signs of wear. These newer ones have not worn well at all. Right from the beginning the surface wore off. They are black so I took a black sharpie to try to repair them but that didn't really help. Over the years I have used my Pimpernel placemats as hot mats as well as place mats so that my beautiful table is protected. I am so disappointed because I really love them.
