Q: what kind of coverage do you get from a 5 gal.?

2 coats 200 - 300 sf depending on the surface.

Q: can hydo ban be painted over to give it another color and is primer needed

We do not paint over Hydro Ban ,we use it as a sealer when tiling

Q: can you use this instead of backboard if you already have thick plywood floors?

Yes you can. I installed travertine tile on plywood 8 years ago and no problems at all.

Q: Can it be used to seal inside a water storage tank and able to use the water for hygiene and drinking?
