Well designed and sturdy.
I have put together quite a few "furniture in a box" projects in my travels. I would have to rate my experience, with Prepac, as near the top of the list for quality, design, and sturdiness. The materials are solid and the finished piece is both impressive and attractive for the price point. The assembly, as with all "ship flat" furniture... is no walk in the park... but the instructions are clear and everything fits together perfectly. I would, highly, recommend 2 things for the assembly. An electric drill with a Philips head screwdriver bit... and an extra pair of hands. This can be done by yourself... without an electric drill... but plan on setting aside quite a chunk of time when doing it this way. The drill will cut your assembly time by 3/4... at least... and the extra pair of hands will help a great deal. Overall, I was very impressed with everything about this dresser. The only problem I encountered was that a few small pieces of hardware were missing... and one of the drawer face pieces was damaged a bit in shipping... but the company shipped out replacements right away.

I love it!
I am pleased beyond measure with this dresser! I put it together myself (I'm over 70!). The directions were easy to follow and no missing pieces. The dresser is a beautiful deep brown, solid and the drawers slide open fully and easily. The classic look is wonderful and a good addition to my bedroom.

You could MAKE a better one for the same price!
It works, it looks fine, its a dressor. If you are in college, living in an apartment in the city, or have absolutely no time on your hands I can see getting one of these... as long as you have about 3 hours to put it together -- and I say that being a craftsman who does everything from blacksmithing/armor smithing, leatherwork, and EVEN some carpentry. Carpentry you say? Why on Earth would you buy this excessivly heavy pain of particle board then? I'm knee deep in projects for clients and don't have the time to put together something for myself and I badly needed to free up space in my closet. So how about the review? If you owned legos as a kid you should have no problem putting this together. I did the entier project with a wretcheting screwdrive (wrench style, not the straight up and down "classic" screwdriver style). You can put most of the pieces in place with a little effort or by putting the pieces of "wood" together and smacking them with your palms. Of course you need to be incredibly careful as this is ALL particle board and thus will crumble and crack and fall to pieces if you so much as look at it wrong. This is why I would reccomend to anyone to just subtract a few hours of [insert streaming service here] time from your week, read an article online about how to DIY, and get too it. Of course Amazon should have no problem with this reccomendation as you will probably buy the tools you need from them anyway.Okay, it's crappy material, but it works well and still looks nice so you are going to buy it. What do you need to know?- Nothing is labled. This isn't a huge problem for MOST of the parts because they are pretty easy to make out with those wonderful peepers of yours. The part where you will get into a bit of trouble is with the little locking screw things. There are two different sizes the look almost exactly the same unless you put them next to eachother and of course they are all mixed up in a bag together with some pegs, nails and screws. Otherwise, look at the pictures and you will figure it out!- Unless you are really careful I don't reccomend using a screw gun to put most of the parts in place. Even though the holes are piloted they are often too small, so if you accidently put something in at an angle or try and screw it too fast you will tear up the particle board (you will probably do this a bit anyway.-The back doesn't have any finish on it so you have to put it up against a wall. Most people do anyway, but if you have a large room you want to divide up by running furnature across the center, this piece isn't going to work for that for this and the following reason.-Weight is not evenly distributed. It's top heavy - which is pretty dangerous if you don't do something about that. Hey American's (PSA) did you know you are statistically more likely to be crushed to death by your own furnature than to be killed by a terrorist (forgien or domestic)? They do give you ties and instructions on how to attach this to the studs in your walls. Since you will want to do that, you should probably also learn how to repair the drywall when you get ready to move... unless you own the place... in which my previous statement about building a lumber dressor stands.- They give you a marker... Since it is particle board the "wood" look "finish" on the outside is some kind of laminate nonsense that could easily scratch if you brush up against it with your lawnmower, practice HEMA in your bedroom, or are dating Edward Scissorhands, so they give you this cute little brown marker to touch up those horrible scratches that will inevitably show up. It's sort of a light mud brown which doesn't really match the finish but I suppose it will make your brain less likely to notice minor scratches than the unclored reflective scratches that might have developed during the shipping process (what this is actually meant for). Though if you recieve a damaged product you should totally just send it back!Final thoughts:- Is it a fine product if you can't/don't have the time to make one? Totally!- Is it quality furnature? Umm, no.Questions for mass manufacturers of these types of products:What is the most stable and highly saught after style of furnature in the world?Jointed wood furnature. How many materials are involved in jointed wood construction?1? Really? Just wood? Why are people not selling jointed furnature kits!!

Garbage instructions. Cheap and unsafe construction. No rustic feel, just cheap.
Looked forever for a dresser, decent price and standard 5/6 drawers. Saw this and purchased. Did not realize it was just pegboard and not a sleek finish on inside of drawers (my fault). However, that does not make this ‘rustic’ it feels so cheap! One cam lock broke through the back of the dresser, so that was a thing. It’s all around cheap, very easily breakable, and the instructions were GARBAGE. I did this with my sister, we have both put together multiple pieces of furniture and this company made it SO MUCH HARDER than any other one I’ve dealt with. The parts were separated by maybe 3 bags? So many screws/bolts/etc were thrown together. Back pieces, side pieces, bottom front piece, and middle shelving were NOT labeled so you have to just look at pictures and orientations to put it together correctly. The edges of the dresser are DANGEROUS!!!!! We moved the finished body from hard floor to carpet in the bedroom and ended up with a cut arm from moving it and the slightest friction caused a razor like cut across my sisters arm! I would have returned this garbage but I was just past the return window by the time I was ready to put it together. It will do its job, but this has been the worst furniture experience I have ever had. This is NOT for beginners, or assemble on your own friendly. I do NOT RECOMMEND. I have assembled my own dresser prior and had NONE of these issues!

Really Nice, Consumer Friendly
This is a really nice dresser. It is probably considered middle tier as far as the quality because it is not solid wood but it is also much nicer than the particleboard you might get at a discount furniture place. It takes quite a while to assemble, but I always find that dressers take quite a while. They can be a pain, but this particular dresser was very consumer friendly with its labels and instructions. For example, I believe that the most difficult part of assembling a dresser is constructing the drawers but with this particular product they have embossed L‘s and R’s as well as color-coded wheels on the drawer parts. There are lots of little screws and a fair amount of steps involved, but the instructions and the organization were so much more efficient and direct than what I am used to. It feels sturdy and I think it’s absolutely beautiful to look at. The hardware is a nice quality and it’s easy to grip. The drawers glide smoothly. It has a great amount of storage. I am really happy with this dresser!
