For about 2 hours to have full charge

Can the remote be used on other planes, such as if I buy a plane building kit from somewhere else?

Not usually,it would have to be a similar plane that uses that type remote.

How do you install the landing gear?

The landing gear is cheap. Place the rod into the small home so the bent arm aligns with the groove. Place the screw in and tighten above. The design is such the lip of the screw is supposed to snug the wire of the landing gear to the base of the wing....I recommend Super Glue. Once you have the screw tightened to secure the landing gear rod, super glue all around screw and landing gear rod where it attaches to wing. I had success, just not a good design. Large hands like mine makes it frustrating. Good Luck and happy flying!
