1st impression -you dont need to buy the hardcover or paperback version. Kindle version will do just fine. There are very few ilustrations in this book and the paperback quality is quite poor (in terms of paper quality). I stay in INDIA and it cost me INR 1,700 (about USD 22) to get the paper back version which in my view is quite high considering lack of any material number of images/ illustrations in colour.On the book content itself - will post in a follow up review. Currently finishing up Philip Ball's BRIGHT EARTH. This one is next in line.

Ok not great suff

This author has done what I always wished I could do - travel the world in search of finding info about how various pigments came to be - and she is letting us sit on her shoulder and read her thoughts as she does so.I’m enjoying this book a lot! The stories are less about the technical aspects of various pigments and more about the cultural significance and histories. Really pleasant reading before bedtime.

le livre est bien reçu - 10 jours en retard, sans explication ni excuses - et je devais payer 10 euros extra pour la livraison. après 3 jours et de divers communications avec le vendeur et amazon.fr, ces couts extra seront remboursee, on ecrit. on verra... très mauvais service. ce vendeur est déconseillé.

It loved it. The book is full of fact and foot notes. It was a great journey through time, space and colours! Really intereested foot note and a great discovery journey! Thank you x
