Is this marine collagen from wild caught fish?

This product is definitely NOT a premium grade AT ALL! It’s very wrong to claim that unethically. If it’s from farmed fish it’s just simply not a premium grade as Farmed fish are bred in cramped conditions in China, Vietnam etc. and can be exposed to hormones & antibiotics and be fed GMO feed. The company knows this! Also the peptide is so shocking. I’d recommend you try to get a proper wild caught fish collagen and bovine collagen and see what the peptides look like. I’ve been taking collagen for years. When I opened the bottle of this brand for the first time. I had to check the bottle again if it’s really a marine collagen as the peptide, smell and the off yellow colour are very much like bovine collagen!! The only thing that premium for this is the price!

Is the 400g weight inclusive of the packaging as some reviewers claim?

400g is the amount of powder in the tub, with packaging the total weight is around 484g. If there are ever any anomalies with the weight of the product, we are always happy to investigate and replace accordingly, we just ask customers to contact us directly about this via their Amazon account.

No, our product isn't made in China.

Our Marine Collagen is sourced from farmed fish skins which typically come from the Tilapia and Pangasius species, we choose this particular species of fish because of their higher collagen content. In addition, other species, eg cod, contain high levels of fat which makes the fish unsuitable for processing via hydrolysis.

Our farms are located in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, Iceland, Vietnam and Taiwan, although the exact species and countries can be modified to meet supply if required. However, any and all farms that we use are registered by the EU for the production and import of edible fish and all fish are deemed fit for human consumption and are guaranteed so by health certificates issued by official veterinarians. Our product is also certified as containing no CMR components (carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction) according to EC regulations.
