A Household Favorite
My son absolutely loves this book. The whole family has learned so much about dinosaurs, including how to correctly pronounce their names. There is a good variety of types of dinosaurs, interesting facts, and great pictures.

Something for everyone...
This book is fabulous for my 5-year old who loves everything Dino...and it will be intersting for years to come as he learns to read by himself. It's a large book, and is so comprehensive that we both learn a lot even though we only read a few pages each night. The first thing I loved about this book that is different from the others I've bought is the phonetic spelling of each dinosaur name, so that I can pronounce them. I also love the way the book is organized into time-periods,and types-- meat eaters, plant eaters, etc... The pictures are great. The page layout and information is well-done. It makes reading to little ones very fun. I love the little interesting tidbits and the drawings on each page that show the scale of the dino compared to the average man. It has something for everyone...the short attention span, the engrossed student, the casually curious. We recommend this book!!

Great kids dinopedia
This is not the most detailed, accurate or up to date dinopedia that exists. But it is meant for kids and in that respect it’s one of the best. Great pictures and facts and there are a lot of Dino’s. My daughter has loved it since 2, almost every night before bed we flip through the book and pick out a few Dino’s. People are astonished by her ability to identify and name Dino’s that most people cannot prounounce! Including myself.

Fabulous, Easy to Read Book!
My 5 YO has been obsessed with dinosaurs for about 2 years now. She saw this book at our library and was very upset that it was a reference book and couldn't be checked out. When we gave it to her, she was thrilled and immediately sat down with it. She's read it every day and is learning even more about dinosaurs than we thought possible. (Like Triceratops wasn't always called Triceratops!)Fabulous book, well organized, great information and pictures. Perfect for any child who has an interest in dinosaurs! So glad we got it and well worth the money!

Great book, we have loved it for three years.
We have had this book for several years now and we love it. We don't read it everyday anymore but use it as a reference and for random moments of interest. It is a keeper and my son loves it.On the down side, there is one illustration we could have done without. I think it was a velociraptor and baby Dino just hatched...and there is blood dripping down the baby's head after the raptor cracked it with its beak. I mean, really. It freaked my kids out. It even made me uncomfortable. They could have drawn any number of other illustrations for that.Aside from that, we do enjoy the book and just avoid that page bc it's creepy. There are a lot of good things about it- like the information and size comparisons to humans. There are lots of tidbits and it lists what fossils have been found for each Dino, which I find fascinating.I def recommend it...just watch out for that page if your kids are sensitive to baby animals being eaten. Just saying. I'm picky about what books in willing to move every two or three years and this one is in my list of keepers.

Great book to keep kids positively occupied other than TV or digital games
My 7 year old kid liked it very much. The book is well organized and teaches the kids many different kinds of Dinos. The kids like the colored pages of the book.We received the book a week earlier than the initial delivery date in good condition. The book is divided into four part. part one deals with discovering dinosaurs. part two deals with flying dinosaurs part three deals with land dinosaurs and part four is dino dictionary. The dictionary gives name with pronunciation, meaning of the name, geological age, where they were found, physical length and to which dino group it belongs. Each part had different color theme so that its easy to look and say which part begins from where just by looking into the bookPart two and three begins with dino family and then each page tells facts about any one dino in a small box in one page with little description for young readers and opposite page contains picture of that dino.My kid was very happy to have this book. The hardback is perfect so that my other little one can use it too when its her time in sha Allah.

Loved it before he could read it!
Bought for kindergarten and he has a book to grow with! Now in first grade and learning to read and learning to love books it’s a great one to have! Sometimes he just looks at pictures and sometimes I read it to him!
